We are a married, self-employed couple in the creative and software industries so have the flexibility of remote work. Animals, of all kinds, are fine by us and we have had experience with cattle, sheep, goats, donkeys and poultry - as well, of course, many varied breeds of dogs and cats.
We are very neat and practically minded. We like to keep busy working from home but also make time for a quiet home life and, since we spend almost all of our time there, are very focussed on keeping the home environment tidy and well maintained, and keeping the pets and animals happy and healthy. We have been at a number of house sits so far through this site and through friends since starting on our journey a number of years ago..
As 'TechNomads' in the software and creative industries we are in a position to travel and work from any location. House-sitting is a great way to get to know different regions in an authentic way (not to mention lots of furry/feathered friends).

Greg & Al looked after our place in Tasmania, whilst we were visiting family back in the UK for several weeks. They were absolutely fantastic house sitters who did everything we asked and more. They looked after a small farm (goats,sheep,chooks and our dog chase) the house and garden were in better shape then when we left which is the best feeling when you get back from your holidays. Alison and Greg did a fabulous job while we were away overseas for 3.5 weeks. My two Rottweilers and my cat were so happy, they didn't even notice we were home until a few minutes had passed! The house was very clean, my babies were happy and clearly looked after. It was essential to me that my pets were happy and safe while we were away. The grass was cut even though this was not requested and our pool was also well maintained (Kreepy operated but weir required emptying). The only reason I ... They were there during the flooding in Brisbane during an extreme weather event, and were kind enough to stay on for 3 extra days to allow us to make the trip home once flooded roads were clear. The house was very clean and dogs were happy and healthy. They were a great fit for our sensitive houndies as they worked from home, which meant the dogs had lots of company.
