Hello fellow travellers!
We are a professional couple who are animal lovers, reliable, honest, trustworthy and caring.
We have been happily married for 29 years, have 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren.
Over the years we have trained 7 guide dogs, loved 2 cats and cared for numerous native birds, lizards and possums (nurtured back to health as Gillian was an area co-ordinator for Fauna Rescue) in addition to our children's fish and stick insects
Having had many pets ourselves we know how important it is to have safe and loving care for your beloved furry, feathered and finned family members - we can assure you of our kindness and affection toward them, as if they were our own.
We are both non-smokers, active and in excellent health.
Ian is a retired engineer / business manager and Gillian a school services assistant.
We took early retirement and sold our family home in order to experience this great country at a slower pace. We plan to spend the majority of our time exploring in our caravan, with intermittent house sitting to enable you to have a stress-free holiday while we care for your home & animals.

We love the sea, nature, theatre, good books, music and most of all cuddles from furry friends.
We are very capable with home maintenance and gardening, having renovated several of our homes.
We will care for your home and pets as if they are our own, fit in with your pets routines and provide updates if required, so you are able to enjoy a stress free holiday and return to a home just as you left it.
We also have police clearances and personal references.

Ian and Gillian were wonderful house sitters giving great care and cuddles to our two 13 year old lapdogs. Our house, gardens and pool were very well maintained over their two month stay. Communication was fantastic with Ian sending us regular photos of our beloved pets. We would definitely have no hesitation in recommending Ian and Gillian for your next Housesit.
We were very hesitant allowing people we had never met to come live at our house for 5 weeks and take care of our home and fur babies. As we had never done this before it was a huge decision. We were pleasantly put to ease when we arranged a video call prior to our holiday. After reading the excellent reviews for Gillian and Ian and seeing their busy schedule of house sits, I was absolutely thrilled when they accepted our housesit. We met them the week before and found a warm, and lovely couple who interacted so well with our 2 dogs. We came home to a spotless house and 2 very, very happy dogs. We give them a 20 out of 10. Ian and Gillian looked after our 10 month old puppy and 2 cats for 2 weeks and did a great job. Their communication with us while we were away was fantastic and we really appreciated the photos and updates they sent.

Ian & Gillian pet/house/garden sat for us for 11 days and we were very happy with the great care our 2 dogs, house and very large garden received. Excellent communication, happy dogs and very clean house. Would highly recommend Ian & Gilluan as sitters.
Ian and Gillian took great care of our house and plants leaving everything very neat, tidy and clean. They were very easy to communicate and gave us every confidence that our home and dog were well cared for. Charlie (our border collie) loved their company and care. Ian & Gillian come highly recommended by me to house sit your house in any situation. They treated the house like it was theirs . The house was spotless when I returned & the gardens maintained. It was reassuring to know my house & personal belongings were secure by their presence . Should a situation arise where I need house sitters I will be calling them for their availability.
We could not recommend Ian and Gillian more highly.
They are delightful people who looked after our house and dogs as well as we do.
Hopefully they can return at some stage.
Ian and Gillian took great care of our dogs, cat and chooks while we were camping; made us feel at complete ease while we were on holiday.
Ian and Gillian house sat for us for a week at short notice, and were exemplary house sitters. They treated our dog and 2 cats as if they were their own, and we arrived home to happy and healthy pets. They even gave our Border Collie a rope toy as a gift!
Additionally, we returned to a spotless home and everything was left as they found it.
The communication was great during our time away, and Ian and Gillian provided regular updates and photos of our pets.

We couldn't have asked for better housesitters. Great communication, they took excellent care of our property and animals, they gave our dogs so much love, attention and care and were absolutely fantastic with them, our dogs loved them. Ian and Gillian are friendly, kind and helpful, we got on so well with them and now class them as friends Xx

Gillian & Ian have a great level of communication, from before sit to during. I was always kept in the loop along their travels which put me at ease being confident they would be here to care for our home and pets when required.
Upon our return our home was clean, our pets were happy and we even had dinner sorted for us in the fridge! During their stay a bush Fire has caused warnings to those in the area and they had all things sorted with our dogs packed and ready to go if needed.

Ian and Gillian are outstanding house sitters. From first communication and then meeting them they made us feel comfortable. They had the highest Integrity and could be trusted with our home and our fur babies. They absolutely loved looking after our two dogs and even bought them some dog toys to play with them more. House was clean and well looked after. Fantastic communication and garden care. Could not be faulted and we both had a relaxing holiday knowing everything was taken care of.
