Our home

I have a small home at the end of a no through road. River views. Gum trees in the front yard. Three bedrooms, study and separate studio.
Lots of wildlife around and friendly non swooping magpies nesting in a gum tree.

There are lovely places to walk Daisy she also loves kayaking on the river. Nice cafes close by, couple of places to have dinner. Just a lovely little community.

Daisy is a soft coated wheaten terrier, seven years old. She expects a walk at least once a day. She loves attention and gives lots of kisses whether you want them or not, she likes to sleep on the end of my bed with me or will sometimes sleep in her bed on the floor.
I also have six goldfish in a wine barrel that like a pinch of food once or twice a day.

medicationMedication/treatment required

Daisy is on a strict specific diet as she has a history of pancreatitis, she also requires eye drops every day. She can become clingy and anxious in windy and stormy weather, she has medication for this if required.

I’m a fifo nurse, I work every month on flinders island for 10 days, I also work in Launceston when I’m home. Daisy usually flies with me to flinders island every month.

What a prettily-placed and peaceful housesit Sandy's was. Perched atop a slight hill overlooking bobbing boats on the Tamar, the smartly-sized home (with an artist's wee studio out the back,to boot, and the most gorgeous levelled garden with guava-type fruit to pick) is a true little paradise. Your 'wards' are Mr Maurice, a sight-impaired but still very perky Maltese-Silky Terrier cross, pretty gorgeous Jaz, the puss (& she knows it!) and chatty Jay, the Cockatiel, who gave me a good run for ... Very low-maintenance indeed. The lovely polished wood-floored home was cosily heated with a flaming wood stove & the only exercise you'll get is carting up the logs from the garden (and that's not at all obligatory!). Max, the neighbour, is jolly and there's plenty of hot water for a bubble bath (Jaz may mooch in to supervise!). Yes, a most ideal location (wee cafe & pizzeria down on the shoreline too, to explore with a friendly & helpful cafe-owner). Top marks for our very first housesit in Tassie with Sandy briefly us superbly before she left. Would be delighted to be asked back.
