Our home

We have a Queenslander style house and we have two large dogs - Benson and Betty (mastiff/boxer cross). Both Benson and Betty will require medication to be administered daily over his food. The dogs are very big but are friendly once they know you. We also have 5 peach face parrots that require fresh seed and water daily. We are located within walking distance from Ipswich City and have a direct train line to Brisbane across the road from our house. Our garden/pot plants will require watering ... I really enjoyed my stay with Karen and loved spending time with Benson and Betty. Both dogs were very affectionate and always happy for plenty of strokes and belly rubs — I’ll definitely miss them both! The birds were beautiful and very easy to look after, and the house itself was cozy and clean. I especially enjoyed the lovely veranda off my room, where I could sit with a coffee, breakfast, or a book while Benson and Betty joined me — such a perfect way to start the day. This was my third time house sitting for Karen, and I always love coming back to their beautiful home! Looking after Betty and Benson is such a pleasure. 😁 Karen is always lovely to communicate with and very easy-going. It was an absolute pleasure to spend 10 days at Karen and Martin’s place taking care of Benson and Betty. They’re truly adorable pets — so sweet, affectionate, and easy to be around. Karen and Martin are incredibly kind and generous, and they were always quick to respond whenever we had a question or needed anything. We felt very welcome throughout the whole stay. Highly recommended!
Martin and Karen were very welcoming and a pleasure to housesit/petsit for. They left easy to follow instructions for their dogs, Benson and Betty as well as the peachface parrots . Benson and Betty were so well behaved and wonderful company. Waking up with these two and sharing some toast was a lovely start to the day. We would definitely recommend this housesit if you have the opportunity.
This was a real pleasure to keep Benson & Betty, they are so lovely and calm ! They love hug 🥰 Martin & Karen are very friendly and reactive The house was very clean and tidy. Thank you very much for your trust. We really enjoyed the stay here.
