Our home

My three bedroomed house is located in Darlington, a village in the hills to the east of Perth. Being located on the Darling Scarp, it has fine views to the west over Perth city, and the potential for a spectacular sunset each evening. The house is on two levels - an upper level with an open plan kitchen (recently refurbished), a living area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry, and a lower level with an additional bedroom, bathroom and living area. There are decks/balconies on both upper and lower levels, and a small swimming pool (lap pool). There is an EV charger which you can use if you require it.

Rocco is a seven year old male greyhound who has been with me since May 2024 and has adapted very well to home life - he is a former racer, but was with a foster carer before I adopted him. He is very friendly and mild mannered, and helps me out as a therapy dog at our local food bank and café each week. He likes early morning walks, so if you are an early riser like me, you will find looking after him easier. We have two walks a day, each about 40 mins (2.5 km), but otherwise he spends his day on the couch/his bed/my bed, and he is comfortable being left on his own a period of six to eight hours.

We had such a beautiful stay with Rocco the greyhound, he is the sweetest boy, with such a gorgeous, calm personality. Thank you Chris for opening your gorgeous, tidy home with the best views!!! We saw lovely bandicoots and possums galore, and the people we met along our dog walks were genuinely caring people. We managed a few icy swims in the sun and enjoyed using the lovely kitchen setup. We will miss the stunning views at golden sunset time! 🌅 Chris left clear instructions and communicated ... Our pet sitting experience with Rocco has been amazing. It was really hard to say goodbye to him, he is such an adorable dog, very well trained, and the perfect company. He is very calm, but he absolutely loves his walks, lying in the sun, getting ear scratches, and spending time with us on the sofa. Peaceful, spacious home and Rocco was the easiest pet we have ever taken care of. Great company if you work from home. Chris was very organised and relaxed which made our housesit a pleasure.
Chris, thankyou for the opportunity to take care of your beautiful, retired greyhound, he is a dream to take care of and fantastic to walk each day. We thoroughly enjoyed our time looking after Rocco the greyhound and Chris' lovely home in the hills. It has everything you can possibly need with great views and sunsets over Perth city in a quiet bushland setting with lots of birdlife and kangaroos
We enjoyed our house sit in the Perth hills. Chris's home was clean and comfortable with views of Perth city and close access to the city and surrounding areas. We cared for Rocco, a new rescue Greyhound. He is friendly and a bit timid. He loves his walks, food and belly scratches. Rocco had a few toileting accidents during our stay, we advised Chris. Once Rocco has settled into his new home this Should be resolved.
