favoriteWhat we love about our area

I love how convenient West Lakes is—easy access to shops, transport, and the new Ngutungka West Lakes Library. It’s just a 5-min drive to beautiful beaches and historic Port Adelaide. The area is very safe, with plenty of parks and green spaces to enjoy.

accessibleHome accessibility

Internal stairs, Please note that this is a medium-density housing development, so it’s not suitable for caravans or oversized vehicles—street parking is very limited. However, you’ll have your own designated car space under my carport. The townhouse is two storeys, so there are internal stairs to consider when it comes to accessibility.

His Majesty Requires a Personal Assistant (Cat Optional Skills, Patience Mandatory)

Meet my 16-year-old male Burmese — utterly convinced the world revolves around him, and honestly, I don't have the heart to correct him. He's charming, opinionated, and very set in his ways. Friendship happens on his timeline, so if you speak fluent "cat" (or are good at faking it), you'll do just fine.

His routine:

Wake-up call: 6:00–6:30am (polite but persistent)
Breakfast: straight after
Dinner: 4:00–5:00pm sharp — or you'll hear about it
Litter tray: cleaned twice daily
Water fountain: topped up before it starts making that "fix me" gurgle

His personality: not a cuddler, but he does enjoy a gentle head rub or ear scratch — strictly on his terms. Keep his routine, give him his space, and you might just earn that slow blink of approval. Even at 16, he still loves a burst of mischief — a feather wand or an unattended shoelace will do the trick.

What I'm looking for: someone patient, genuinely fond of cats, and happy to spend quality time with him — but who also has their own life to get on with. He doesn't need round-the-clock company, just a reliable presence who respects his routine and his boundaries.

Let me know if you'd like any tweaks to length, tone, or detail before you post it.

Our garden

local_floristGarden or plant care

Minimal - Garden Care

The outdoor space is a small patio that, in winter through to spring, barely needs attention — just the occasional top-up of the water feature. No weeding, pruning, or lawn care required.

The fountain, however, must be turned on whenever His Majesty is outside. This isn't for ambience — it's his personal entertainment system and, more importantly, a strategic distraction from any "great escape" plans. Without it, he may decide the fence is calling and the outside world awaits (trust me, it's not — and at 16 and carrying a few extra kilos, fence-scaling is well beyond his Olympic days, but he does love to sit and plot).

Just keep a watchful eye on His Royal Highness and make sure all outdoor adventures remain strictly patio-bound.

What a lovely 2 weeks I had looking after Coco. Cathy’s place is wonderful, in a fantastic (and convenient) location. It has all the amenities that you would need and is spotless. Coco is a delight, always wanting food and a play and was easy to look after. Cathy’s communication prior to, and during the housesit was excellent. I would recommend taking the opportunity to house/ cat sit for Cathy and Coco if you have the chance.
Hi Tanya thank you for your wonderful review. Happy I could give you a pleasant stay.
I’ve just had the pleasure of staying at Cathy’s house and looking after the delightful Coco. Cathy is a clear communicator and left excellent instructions regarding Coco’s care and routine. Cathy’s home in West Lakes is a lovely place to stay, and close to everything one may need. Thanks again Cathy for trusting me with looking after your home and caring for your lovely boy Coco while you ventured abroad!
