Our home

I live in Shoal Point, (Mackay), low set 4 bed house. The beach is at the end of the street. The sit will only suit a couple or single person as I have only one double room available, other spare rooms are a gym and home office. Living, kitchen/dining is all open plan, easy to get around.
The boys have a dog door so they can go in/out as they like while I'm at home, when I'm out, they're outside in the garden. The boys have a dog door so they can go in/out as they like while I'm at home, when I'm out, they're outside in the garden. They are both very much indoor dogs, Johnny LOVES the sofa & my bed & will most likely sleep on my bed at night, Rian (or both) might want to cuddle up while you watch tv but for the most part they're quiet and easy going, Johnny may even retire to his bed in my room when he's chilling.
I have lots of plants back & front garden that will need watering (if no rain). My neighbour mows the grass so no need to worry about that.
I also have a pool, the cleaner will have gone over it before I leave so that will be ok.
Air con throughout the house, the guest room is a double bedroom. Also have a mini gym set up in spare room which you are more than welcome to use. Double garage so you can pull your car in at night if you'd like to.
A meet & greet will be important before I go so that the boys have met you (due to Johnny's anxiety & so he can say hi) & I can show you around the house.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

I love the laidback lifestyle, chilling by the pool or strolling to the beach with the boys. There's also a lovely walking path, 3km from my house to a cafe, most of the walk is by the ocean.

Johnny is a 4 year old boxer, he is your typical boxer, full of energy around walk time! He struggles with anxiety & can be nervous at first but he soon warms up. Rian.... well Rian, he is adorable but your typical puppy. His favourite thing to do is dig in the garden!

I have previously house-sat for Jackie and cared for her precious Johnny Boy, the boxer. This time around, Jackie had an extra addition, Rian, a companion for Johnny Boy, who was energetic and kept me on my toes. We played with the many toys when outside, and then we would have rest time in front of the TV. I would happily house-sit for Jackie again and care for both her boys. Thanks, Jackie, for trusting me with your home and your lovable fur babies.
We really enjoyed our pet sitting experience with Jhonnie, a lovely and gentle boxer. He can be a bit anxious at first, but once he gets used to you, he becomes very affectionate and sweet. Jhonnie quickly became very attached and was such a joy to spend time with. Jackie is very lovely and welcoming ! It was a pleasure taking care of Jhonnie and the house!
Jackie is a great lady to deal with and Johnny is a lovely dog but very nervous until he gets used to you. Its one of the nicest suburbs in Mackay had a great stay. Gary/Di
A lovely stay in a very comfortable easy care home, handy for beach and/or flat walks or just hanging out in company of very personable, friendly, easy care and engaging boxer. A very relaxing enjoyable stay thankyou Jackie and Johnny.

Jackie, was absolutely lovely and easy to communicate with. Her home was lovely with a pool that you could chill in on the hot days. Johnny Boy the fun loving boxer was a treasure to look after loved his cuddles and his food. He also loved playing with his balls and just having a play with around with you. Jackie was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable in her home. Jameson and Bailey are lovely friendly dogs who enjoy their very energetic twice daily walks. They love to play with you in the house and yard and are always up for a pat and cuddle. House is in a nice area and close to beaches. Thank you for having us Jackie.
lovely host and house with two big male boxer dogs who got very excited when it was walk time. They loved rubs and sharing the couch too.
Jackie is an easygoing and welcoming person and made me feel at home. Her two boxers are very strong but have great personalities. This was a very short housesit but was happy to help Jackie get away for the weekend. Jackie was great to communicate with and would not hesitate to housesit for her again.
