My Mum and I are looking for preferably a single lady but open to a couple or two female friends to look after our fur baby Riley. She is an adopted, cheeky, 5 year old, domestic medium hair cat. She is full of energy and can sometimes take a little while to warm up to people but is always curious. My Mum and I are looking for preferably a single lady but open to a couple or two female friends to look after our fur baby Riley. She is an adopted, cheeky, 5 year old, domestic medium hair cat. She is full of energy and can sometimes take a little while to warm up to people but is always curious. She is quite independent and can get be a little bit nippy when playing but never bites - they call it play aggression. She often loves a cuddle or to be on the end of the bed generally at night but is also just as happy being left to amuse herself. She has been house sat quite a few times by a few different house/pet sitters from this website and they have all went well. She is all up to date with her vaccinations and worming etc. We are hoping to find someone who suits for our long holiday. The reasons we are requesting a female present is because she is used to just me and mum being home and we don't get many visitors and the only male she has really seen, regularly over the years is my brother and that is maybe once a month and only for a brief visit, so we would be hesitant to leave her with only a male present.

We are located in Ipswich approx 30-40mins from Brisbane CBD. It is a large suburban city and our home is located within walking distance or only a short drive from lots of local parks, a nature reserve, cafes, sports clubs, cinemas, grocery/food shopping and shopping centres. Our home itself is moderate in size with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bath and shower separate, kitchen with all necessary appliances, two sitting areas with TVs may or may not leave my streaming services active and if so you’re welcome to use them, a medium sized garden, with a table and undercover area out the back of the house, as well as, a carport with shade cloth covering for a regular sized vehicle to fit under for some weather protection at the front of the house. The room you will be sleeping in has a double bed, blankets and towels will be provided and there is a dan with different speeds in there, as well as an air conditioner, but we try to only use it if necessary, due to the cost of electricity. In September and October, we find the fans to usually be sufficient. There is a small outdoor enclosure for Riley to use. All of her food, litter etc will be provided. Anything else you may have questions about we will be happy to discuss or tell you more about when arranging a sitting arrangement.

My mum (Kym) and myself (Tamara) are going away to Europe for getaway and would love Riley to have some company while we are not home. If you would be interested, we would love to chat to you more. We are happy to be contacted by phone or email.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

It is a fairly quiet neighbourhood with lots of nearby shops, cafes, entertainment and activities nearby. We are also only 30-40mins from Brisbane CBD by car or there are train stations within a 5-10min drive. We have never had any break ins or trouble with neighbours touch wood.

The home is all level access with no external or internal stairs. There are grab rails in the toilet, shower and bath. The bath and shower are separate. The are grab rails in the toilet, shower and bath as I have limited mobility.

We have a female, 5 year old domestic medium hair cat named Riley. She is quite independent but also very playful and loves some good pats and scratches own her terms. She can get a little nippy when playing but never actually bites. She has a secure outdoor enclosure that she loves to sit and watch the day go by in.

Looking after Riley was such a lovely experience. She’s a very sweet cat with lots of personality, always interested in what I was up to and quickly made me feel at home. She was great company and I genuinely enjoyed spending time and playing with her. I had a great time house sitting for Tamara and Kym. Riley is an adorable little princess that sometimes does her own weird little things, she would let you know either she wants to play or ready to sit on your chest to chill XD but she’s very very easy to take care of. I was given plenty of clear instructions as well as local guide. Would recommend to whoever’s ready for some kitty cuddles
We loved pet sitting Riley for Tamara and Kym. Riley was an absolute cutie who loved company and attention. He was easy to care for and overall very well behaved. He loved to play with his toys and involve us in his play time which we loved. Tamara and Kym where great! They were easy to communicate with and left us with clear instructions. Riley is so playful and full of energy! I enjoyed looking after her! The communication with Tamara and Kym was really good. It was lovely to visit Ipswich.
Tamara is a great host. She made us feel comfortable and communicated well, Riley is a cutie! There's plenty of shops and walks available close by. We particularly enjoyed the Nature centre, which is only down the road.
Oh, adorable 'Chili' was fabulous to look after! Loves keeping you company, and very cuddly at night, but very comfortable in, and wants, his own space now and again. Already missing him and his company to bits! :D Tamara and Kym just lovely, making me feel welcome and leaving a very detailed care plan for Chili, plus booklets for things to do around Ipswich. A wonderfully comfortable, clean home and walking distance to Queens Park for some lovely nature interactions! Cut short with the ... MoreOh, adorable 'Chili' was fabulous to look after!
