Our home

Would love one or two people who are confident with horses to stay at my place while we are away. My house is a single level home that is open planish and clean.
We have a few animals that need feeding, but it's pretty easy.
We are located 1km from the local shops.
The area is quiet and the people friendly. Public transport is available. It would be easier if you had access to your own vehicle.
I have 5 very friendly dogs, a cat and 6 horses that will need feeding.

My parents live in the house next door and will give you a hand if you need it. They are really lovely people.
We also have a great RSL. It sells great food and has a very friendly atmosphere. Woollies is just up the road as well as a bakery and other specialty and food shops.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

This is a no through road so relatively quiet. We have neighbours near by but you can’t see them from the house.
The bush setting is great and we have walking tracks out the back.

I have 6 horses that require feeding twice a day. It’s not difficult but you will need to get in the paddock with them to feed.
5 dogs that will need feeding once a day and a cat also needing food once a day.

medicationMedication/treatment required

One dog requires an anxiety tablet, sounds ridiculous I know, once a day. She is no trouble to give it to.

Rachel was welcoming and informative. She prepared a lovely cozy room for us that had a beautiful view of her land. We managed to get a great routine, feeding the horses, dogs and cat and still had tons of time to ourselves throughout the day. I will definitely miss everyone, especially Malik the foal! And I’ll miss the amazing location. I would definitely recommend this sit to anyone. Thank you for having us Rachel! We would love to sit again.
Rachels animals were a delight: super lovable, friendly, energetic and great personalities! The property location was also a highlight as it backed onto native bushland, and the house, both inside and out, was exceptionally clean. It was also a joy interacting with Rachels parents who live in the neighbouring property. Pet care totalled minimum an hour in the mornings and evenings (allowing time for the aged horses to finish their meal). I used this hour to feed the dogs, cat and goat, clean ... Rachel's place is an amazing new built property within walking distance from Glenorie center and public transport, surrounded by beautiful open paddocks and gum trees, overlooking the valley. The family, together with the grandparents next door are the most wonderful people, giving me the best experience and comfort around the routines of the animals, which were easy to follow. Waking up in a comfortable guest room, with big windows facing nature and start the day with feeding horses (which was ... The family, together with the grandparents next door are the most wonderful people, giving me the best experience and comfort around the routines of the animals, which were easy to follow. Waking up in a comfortable guest room, with big windows facing nature and start the day with feeding horses (which was like a 20 minute task twice a day) was like living a dream. The dogs, cat and goat were all fed at night, slept outside and walked themselves, so very low maintenance and were simply lovely to have around. I can warmly recommend house sitting at Rachel's!
