Our home

We are looking for a couple who have experience looking after small acreage to house sit for us in September.

We live about five minutes out of Berry (and 10 minutes from Seven Mile Beach) on a couple of acres.

We have two very active and affectionate border collies - Sam (4 years) and Missy (5 years). Both are girls. They don’t need to be walked because they get their exercise tearing around our garden, but they do love a ride in the car to walk at the beach.

We have a large and very nice garden but it will not need much work in September.

Some minor pool cleaning might be required, for example skimming leaves off the pool.

Seperate guest accomodation is provided downstairs (bedroom, bathroom, small living area and kitchenette). You would also have access to the main part of the house and kitchen upstairs.

Berry is a beautiful town and a very very picturesque location. We are close to Shoalhaven Heads and Seven Mile beach (which is an off leash dog beach).

Sam and Missy are outside dogs - they sleep in the garage. They get their exercise by racing around our property but they do love company, so you would need to spend much of your time with them - they love lots of TLC. They also love walks on Seven Mile beach which is near by.

Average - Probably just watering our raised vegetable garden beds and a few pots. The lawn will need mowing. You would need to be able to operate a large Zero Turn lawn mower.

In the past 18 months we had many opportunities to look after Sam and Missy, two beautiful Border Collies, and to live on this incredible property in Berry. The communication was great as well, no matter how much distance was between us. The house and the gardens are stunning with exceptional views. We were treated almost every day to the most gorgeous series of sunsets. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at Kerri and Kathy's home in Berry looking after Sam and Missy. Both dogs are affectionate and great fun, especially on their beach outings. The house is comfortable with everything you need, set in a lovely location with beautiful views. Kerri and Kathy were welcoming hosts.
We had the most lovely time caring for two wonderful dogs - Sam & Missy. They are so smart, well behaved & loving - we made friends with them quickly. Kerri & Kathy were friendly welcoming hosts, who showed us around their house & property before they left making us feel at ease with looking after everything for them. Berry is a lovely town & we really enjoyed this house sit & would love to be invited again to catch up with Sam & Missy.

We had a series of wonderful house sits looking after Sam and Missy, two gorgeous Border Collies and the property in Berry. Our Hosts were incredibly caring and thoughtful. We felt appreciated and respected. The instructions and all the communication were clear. The house, the garden and its surroundings are beautiful. The views are spectacular. Also it was good to have a lovely village with a supermarket and many good cafes nearby. There are spectacular beaches a short drive away as ... A wonderful house sit in every aspect! Sam and Missy are very affectionate, skillful, beautiful creatures. They are a delight to watch how much they enjoy running around freely in the extensive gardens. They have an incredible ability to connect to humans and we felt the connection immediately. I recently had the pleasure of housesitting for Kerri. Her house was absolutely beautiful, offering stunning views and being conveniently close to Shoalhaven beach. The dogs, Sam and Missy, were incredibly sweet and well-behaved, making my stay even more enjoyable. I loved taking them for beach walks most days. Additionally, the charming town of Berry is at your doorstep. Kerri left detailed and helpful instructions, which made my stay smooth and stress-free.
We really enjoyed our time at Berry, it was a pleasure to meet Kerri,Kathy,Sam and Missy . Kerri was very thorough and thoughtful guiding us to make it a smooth transition into their beautiful home, we are excited to be returning soon. A lovely house in a fabulous location. Kerri was a wonderful, experienced host with a very comprehensive set of notes. Sam, a Border Collie, was such a beautiful animal. We fell in love with her and could have easily taken her home. She is such an affectionate dog and easy to look after. She loved her outings to the beach. We would gladly do another sit for Kerri. We had a great stay at Kerri's place in Berry. The house and garden are gorgeous and dog Sam is just the cutest. The property is in a fantastic location down a long drive but just minutes from both Berry and the beach. Kerri provided good notes on looking after the property and was contactable for the whole of our stay. We would definitely go back if the opportunity arises!
Claire Would you be interested in having Christmas in Berry? Your family would be welcome as well. We think well be away for about 10 days, maybe from about the 18th to the 29th or 30th. And we will likely be away for a couple of weeks in the first couple of weeks of February. Cheers Kerri
Sam is so adorable. She loves company and we loved her company. Sam is very intelligent, affectionate and well behaved, an absolute delight to be with. Kerri and Cathy were very welcoming. They have an amazing place, super clean and comfortable. Everything is well organized and very easy care. We felt quite blessed that we could do this beautiful house sit. Thankyou Kerri, Cathy and Sam for having us. We loved it and happy to sit again.
I house sat at Kerri' and Cathy's house for their dog Sam for 9 days. Sam is such a gorgeous red border collie. Beautiful nature and a lot of fun to be with, hard to say goodbye to. The house and property are beautifully kept, and the location near Berry is really special. The veranda and front decking look over lovely gardens, mountains and fields. I would highly recommend them and their dog Sam. Communication was great. I would house sit again for them anytime.
Kerri was very welcoming and ensured our stay was enjoyable. Sam was a delight and soaked up all the attention. The house is in an idyllic setting providing an ideal spot to explore around Berry.
Kerri, Cathy and Sam are a delight! We housesat for them for almost three weeks and it was glorious. Kerri was very responsive and the walk-through beforehand was very helpful. They were very accommodating and thoughtful. The house is lovely to stay in (we were frequently distracted by the view) in a great location. Sam is very friendly, easy-going and brings a spark of joy to your life. Would highly recommend Kerri, Cathy and Sam.

We just spent a very enjoyable 12 days staying at Kerri's home and caring for Sam - her 9mth old border collie. Such a delightful intelligent dog who loves praise and lots of pats and who loves to go for a run. We had lots of enjoyable outings with her. Kerri's home is convenient to Berry and the beach and has a beautiful mountain outlook. All communication was clear and it was a great experience - thanks Kerri
