Our home

We are looking for someone/a couple/two friends to kitty sit for us whilst we are away. The two boys struggle with young children and loud noises, and are a little shy, preferring quieter company. Their litters are all contained in the downstairs laundry and we can assure our sitters that the house is free of the smell of urine, despite having 5 fur babies. The two boys struggle with young children and loud noises, and are a little shy, preferring quieter company. Their litters are all contained in the downstairs laundry and we can assure our sitters that the house is free of the smell of urine, despite having 5 fur babies. The house looks out over the city of Launceston, the river, trees and mountains, with a deck at the front to enjoy the stunning views, whilst enjoying a cuppa (or your preferred beverage). The lounge, dining room and main bedroom are north facing and get gorgeous morning sun. The main bedroom has opening doors onto a catio (part of the front deck). The house is heated with a “heat pump” (as we like to call it in Tassie)/reverse cycle aircon. We have WIFI and some streaming services. Did I mention the view? Our sitter/s would need to be able to climb internal stairs down to the laundry.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

Safe neighbourhood, lovely neighbours, stunning views, a beautiful bakery and IGA close by, a quick trip into town or Riverside for groceries, 20 minute drive/uber from the airport. There is a reserve behind us which is lovely for walks and we get nightly visits from wallabies and pademelons 🥰

What a great stay at this sunshine house on the hills! A nourishing time to be surrounded by all these beautiful cats.. The 3 girls bathed me in unconditional love and the 2 boys played a little hard to get. Beautiful hiking just on the doorstep too! Kate is such a loving and generous host, it felt like we knew each other from the first moment we met. Very special to feel so connected to the place aswell as people and animals with whom your staying.
You are a true gem and I feel so grateful that our paths have crossed.
Kate and Dean are truly amazing hosts! So kind, welcoming and incredibly thoughtful, with little details that made our stay extra special🥹 Their place is spotless and cosy, with a stunning view over the valley! We completely fell in love with all the cats! Each one has their own special character, so there’s basically a cat for every mood :D Lottie, Lily and Ripley are such sweethearts: they follow you around the house, love cuddles and playing, but without being clingy.
