Our home

I’m looking for someone to stay in my ground floor unit to care for my dog Ranger and water my ponds/pot plants, while I’m away 24 - 28 September.

The unit is located in Nundah, very close to public transport. The Toombul bus depot is directly across the road and Toombul train station with direct lines to the City/Southbank is about a 5-minute walk away.

Nundah Village is also nearby (around a 650m walk) with plenty of restaurants, shops and a Woolworths supermarket.

My dog Ranger is a 14-year-old cattle dog x border collie. His main hobbies these days include VERY long naps, (trying to get) treats, and a short stroll around the block (about 600m), or even just up and down the street. He’s a very gentle, quiet dog who loves a pat, a tummy rub, and of course a treat.

Full instructions will be provided in a house sitter agreement which we can complete together. I’m also happy to help you with any questions you have about getting around the local area or Brisbane in general.

The garden area is compact and only needs very simple watering to keep a few aquatic ponds topped up & a few pot plants watered.

You’ll stay in the main bedroom, which has its own ensuite bathroom and TV. You’re welcome to use everything in the unit, including the washer, dryer, full kitchen, TVs, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The complex is very secure and also has a pool.

- breakfast approx. 7-8am (chicken drumstick + dentastix)
- dinner around 5-6pm (dried biccies + wet meat, potions will be made up 4 you)

*Short evening stroll only required every 2nd day (max 600m around the block).

I fell in love with the dog. He has a such lovely nature - sweet, easy, loving, cute. He is older, so we enjoyed slow walks in the area. Everyone was very drawn to him. The area has some lovely wide streets, lots of green. There are good walking paths close by. Public transport was right on the door step. Cilla welcomed me warmly into her home, ws generous, and made a great effort to make sure I would have all I needed. I appreciated that. Thank you Cilla!
I only have wonderful things to say about my experience caring for Rangie ❤️ Cilla was incredibly communicative and considerate often going above and beyond to facilitate me staying in her home. She left detailed instructions and communication was quick and clear. She is also so easy-going and made me feel very welcome and comfortable.
