Our home

Our house is located on about an acre block. It’s very minimal work as we have wild rabbits that tend to the grass so no mowing required!

The house itself self has a large kitchen and dining joint with a large lounge room separated to the side. The lounge and kitchen go out on to the back deck. The back deck we’ve set up so you can watch the lounge tv (through the window with speakers outside) whilst enjoying a nice cold drink in the fresh air.

The back deck we’ve set up so you can watch the lounge tv (through the window with speakers outside) whilst enjoying a nice cold drink in the fresh air.

The house has double glazed windows which can make it nice and toasty if the suns shining. If it gets too warm we then retreat to the games room which has a small couch, tv and aircon.

We’ve got a spare room with a queen bed for all our guests which is situated next to the bathroom. The bathroom has a shower and bath if you like to relax.

As we are located rural we are on tank water however we have a bore so no need to worry about water running out - also we have a filter in the kitchen so we always have filtered drinking water.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

We love the peacefulness of the mountain - we wake up with wild birds at our back door. There’s also plenty of bush tracks to explore. Even though we’re on the mountain we’re only 15mins from Whittlesea which has plenty of shops and just over an hour drive into the city.

Our mini zoo requirements are:

Archie our dog - he is a blue heeler x border collie - looks scary but is a big old sook. Throw the ball and feed him and he’ll be happy

Two cats Mac & Loki - Loki is a Maine Coone and Mac is a short haired domestic - as long as they’re feed brekkie and dinner they’ll be your friend

Ducks - all kept in a cage so will just need to check food and water every couple of days

Chickens - 2 cages of chickens, check food and feed every couple of days (or daily if you want to check for eggs)

Birds - we’ve got 4 aviary’s, the food normally lasts a week and then water every few days - these guys won’t be much work

Reptiles - we have 6 reptile tanks - all will need to be sprayed with water daily

Snake - we have a green tree python, she won’t need feeding in the time we’re gone

Lizards - we’ve got 5 lizard tanks, they will need to be feed every few days
