Our home

Hello! My husband and I are heading to the gold coast to see family, so we'd love someone to look after our house but more importantly our kitty cats Stella and Rudi!

The house has 3 bedrooms (one set up as a study, and one specifically set up for guests so it's ready and waiting for you!), a bathroom with shower, bathtub and separate toilet, a European laundry with washing machine and heat pump dryer, a lovely kitchen (with dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, stove and induction cooktop) ... The house has 3 bedrooms (one set up as a study, and one specifically set up for guests so it's ready and waiting for you!), a bathroom with shower, bathtub and separate toilet, a European laundry with washing machine and heat pump dryer, a lovely kitchen (with dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, stove and induction cooktop) that's split level with the living room (great sized couch and telly), and a balcony with lounging outdoor furniture and an amazing view of the reserve. We have split systems in all the bedrooms and living room for heating and air-conditioning, and you'd have unlimited fast internet. We take a lot of pride in our home and so like to keep it clean and tidy - we also try to be as eco as possible (the house is fully electric and has solar, and for bins we have a compost bin, normal waste bin, recycling, and soft plastic)

favoriteWhat we love about our area

The reserve is on the doorstep, Keilor Plains train station and the gym/aquatic centre are a few minutes drive down the road. There are other little shops and parks within walking distance - in general we're only a few minutes drive from stores/restaurants in Keilor and St Albans.

Stella is almost 4, very sweet, likes to play and be near where you are, and once she's warmed up loves a lap sit. Rudi is almost 3, super affectionate and loves attention (even being picked up and cuddled).
Stella and Rudi are like family to us, so we really want them to be cared for with lots of love and as much time as possible (they do happily play together and groom each other as well though). They are indoor cats, but we give them access to the balcony and the enclosed backyard if we're home. They need feeding morning and night, teeth brushing at night, some play time during the day, a hair brush once a week, and they like to sleep on the bed with you at night and hang out near whoever is around during the day.

It was so lovely to spend time caring for sweet Rudi and Stella. They have two of just the sweetest personalities. Full of love and affection they will sit and cuddle with you for days, which I loved, but also happy and at peace in their own company as well. We had such a wonderful experience house sitting for Zoë and Johnson. Even though it was 2 days I had such a great time looking after Zoe and Johnsons sweet family of two. Though I was fooled early on by Rudiger to go for tummy rubs when he rolls around only to be used as a scratching post, I was eventually holding him like a newborn baby a day later and by day two he was following me around. It didn't take long for Stella to join me at nights on the bed and it was so fun to watch her from the back window, sneak up on Rudigar and pounce on him while he was ... We had great time taking care of Zoë's adorable cats, Stella and Rudi, and her house. The communication was clear, we felt at home and had a lot of fun with those 2. Thank you for trusting us, we would love to come back in the future.
We had a lovely time taking care of Stella and Rudi! They are such sweet cats. We felt very comfortable in the house and had a relaxing time. The owners were very friendly and great to communicate with!
We really enjoyed the house sit, with the wonderful Rudi and Stella. Both cats are easy going and great fun to be around. Josh and Zoë were great, very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this sit. We will miss Rudi and Stella.
We have just had a lovely stay looking after Rudiger&Stella - they were the sweetest cats. Rudi loved being carried around and snuggled - such a lovely way to start the day! while making my coffee of course :) Stella loved snuggling on us and the blanket when we were settled in for the evening. Their feeders made it easy to make sure the correct cat was eating their correct diet. The house was lovely, light and cool. very beautiful place, stella was amazing to look after, very cuddly , very friendly and loved being outside in the sun and then inside at night time resting on my lap watching tv. thanks Zoe and Josh it was a great house sit.

It was disclosed on the house ad that we have a security camera in the laundry so we can check when Stella gets home, and we saw at least two different people brought into the house and allowed to use the washing machine. We literally wouldn't have had a problem with this at all, or any of the above, we just wanted the courtesy of being asked/informed. We wish you all the best.

Housesitting for Zoe and Johnson's gorgeous cat Stella was such a treat. Stella is a gorgeous companion and communication with Zoe was swift and easeful. We had a little hiccup with Stella's tracking collar going missing but we were able to sort it and Zoe was patient with our technological challenges. The house was warm and inviting and my partner and I would recommend petsitting Stella to anyone who loves a puddle of fluffy sweetness - we sure do :)

Zoë and Josh are a lovely couple who graciously welcomed us into their home. They live in the Melbourne suburbs with easy access to the downtown core! Their two cats kept us busy with feeding times and their indoor/outdoor schedule. They are both avid hunters, so be prepare to deal with any gifts they bring back to the house. Great communication during the housesit! Thanks!

Zoe picked me up from the station and was very informative about everything pet and house related. She was also amazing at staying in touch during the sit with any questions I had. Toby and Stella were super cute and caring for them was a breeze. Toby loved pats and cuddles. Stella was a bit more aloof but made sure to say what sounded uncannily like "hi" when returning from ... We very much enjoyed looking after Toby - he was a lot of fun (loved his toys). Zoe and Josh were super friendly and very easy to communicate with. They have a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. I would absolutely recommend anyone to house sit Toby and would love to stay again!
Zoe and Josh were a pleasure to house-sit for. They were very communicative and generous with their time. For example, I was a bit stuck for accommodation the night before my sit was due to start and they welcomed me in early. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious, with a sizeable garden. The area's very quiet and I slept like the dead every night! Their cat Toby is a real character and very curious - he'll follow you around all day to hang out like a little buddy.
We took care of Toby for a bit less than 1 week. We had a great time with him. He's a very affectionate and playful cat and such a good toy hunter !! The house is very cozy in a quiet suburb. Josh and Zoe were very easy to communicate with. Thanks again. Definitely recommended
Zoe and Johnson are a delightful couple and communication, house and garden were all perfect. The fur ball, Toby, is a fabulous kitten and is going to be an amazingly warm cat....and probably a bit of a hunter....he loves to play! My stay in Hillside was all good and I thank Zoe and Johnson very much for allowing me to stay in their home and look after Tobes!
