Hello, I'm Nicola, and I'm looking for a quiet, caring and responsible single person who is experienced in looking after cats to care for my four lovely cats. The cats are inside cats with a large enclosed outside area. They are a mother, and three adult (aged 7) offspring, who all have different and delightful quirky personalities! The cats are inside cats with a large enclosed outside area. They are a mother, and three adult (aged 7) offspring, who all have different and delightful quirky personalities! One of the two boys is on daily medication, and this needs to be mixed into his food each morning.
The house is a comfortable 3 bedroom split level house on a block of approximately 700 square metres. It's on a fairly steep slope (22 steps down) and it's in quiet and beautiful surroundings. There is a swimming pool within a few minutes walk, 10 minutes drive to shops and trains, and the beautiful Blue Mountains are all around!
There is the optional opportunity to do some gardening if you like gardening, and there is a lovely verandah to sit and relax on.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

I'm in a quiet area, with an area of crown land backing onto the property, so plenty of greenery, and also a creek which runs when there is quite a bit of rain. There is a swimming centre with sauna and spa just 10 minutes walk up the road, and I am just 10 minutes drive from Springwood shops.

I have four beautiful cats, a mother and her three babies, who are now adult cats aged seven years. Mum Siena is six to eight months older than her now grown up babies. Each of them is very unique, and lovely.
One of my cats, Fio, has some special needs at this stage. He's on medication, he currently has an overactive appetite, and is on a very strict diet at this stage for necessary weight loss.
He needs to be fed in a separate area from the other three, and strict care needs to be taken to ensure he's not able to eat anyone else's food!
Care needs to be taken that Siena, Ellie and Millo's food is completely removed before doors are opened, so that Siena, Ellie and Millo get all of their food, and Fio only gets as much as his diet allows for at this stage!!
Fio also needs some time out, usually in the evenings after dinner at the moment, to relax and unwind quietly in his own special room (this is the extra bedroom, which will also be your room). He's on a very strict diet for weight loss at the moment, so I'm looking for someone who will ensure he's given strictly the correct amount of food morning and evening.
In general, I'm looking for someone who is able to give all of the cats lots of care and attention, whilst letting them slowly get used to someone new in the house with them.

medicationMedication/treatment required

Liquid medication needs to be carefully measured into a syringe and mixed into one of my cats' food once a day (each morning). Cats need to be carefully separated at meal times (three in one closed off area, one in another), to ensure special diet is maintained.

Minimal - There are a few pot plants/ potted vegies, which need a watering each day, and a small convenient patch of garden close to the kitchen which also needs watering.

Important info

This is a vegetarian house, so it's preferred, but not compulsory for you to be vegetarian too.

A single cat sitter is preferred to a couple, so it's easier for my cats to relax with someone new. No children or families please, as my cats aren't so comfortable with children or multiple new people

I had a lovely sit at Nicola’s with her 4 kitties! The mama cat, Siena, uses to be a stray and came to Nicola with her 3 kittens. All 4 are lovely kitties with distinct characters. They live in cat paradise with plenty of top shelf food varieties and even a whole enclosed yard! The house is sunny, green, and peaceful. It was not too cold while I was there in May. The house is between Springwood and Faulconbridge train stops - there are occasional buses to the train stations or you can walk. ... MoreI had a lovely sit at Nicola’s with her 4 kitties! Springwood is the bigger town which is scenic and has cafes, shops, groceries, etc. Also Nicola the host is super friendly and kind!

Nicola's communication was excellent before and during my house sit. The bed and bedroom were very comfortable. The house is very well ventilated which minimises odours but can be chilly in winter so warm clothes are advisable. The location is great...very close to the aquatic centre and Springwood shops but nice and quiet.
Meeting Nicola was a pleasure, she’s a really kind person and loves deeply her cats. The house had everything I needed and it was perfect to discover the Blue Mountains. The cats are a little shy and difficult to handle some times, but with patience and love they become soft🙌🏽
House-sitting here was a unique experience. The cats are lovely and clearly a priority, so expect a very feline-focused setup. The cats have access to an enclosed outer area (i.e. permanently fixed, open windows) throughout the house, so remember to pack your thermals, it's extremely cold in winter time. Nicole was welcoming and very clear on the cat’s needs and priorities when I arrived, which was helpful. Duties include feeding the cats twice a day, as well as cleaning the four cat ... Peaceful stay with 4 lovely cats. Really enjoyed looking after Fio,Milo,Ellie and Sienna. Tranquil house and close to Springwood that has lots of cute little shops and cafes. Nicola is very good with communication and will help you with your stay. We really enjoyed it :)
It has been a pleasure meeting Nicola and her furry & lovely cats. The house is so close to the Blue Mountains, in a very tranquil area. The communication with Nicola has been amazing from the very beginning and she has been so loving, kind and respectful to me. I will definitely help her any other time she needs it and I totally recommend anyone to experience it.
