Our home

Our home is a very typical family home. We think it's beautiful and are proud to call it ours, but it's not what you might call recently renovated, luxurious or modern. It's a 2 bed, 1 bath Queenslander (with tall front steps, not suitable for anyone with impaired mobility) and a 100 years-worth of quirks and stories. It's a 2 bed, 1 bath Queenslander (with tall front steps, not suitable for anyone with impaired mobility) and a 100 years-worth of quirks and stories. We have a large deck, French doors overlooking a frangipani tree (which will be laden with flowers at that time of year, it's one of my favourite features of the house) and shady backyard that is cool on the hot summer afternoons. You would sleep in the master which we would reorganise to provide you allow you to feel comfortable and relaxed.

favoriteWhat we love about our area

We're on a standard town block in a friendly street full to playing children and neighbours we're lucky to call friends. We're also a few steps from the local golf course, so if you're partial to that, it's a great location. The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail runs through if you're feeling active.

External stairs / steps, Step in bath/shower, The front stairs are tall and narrow and not easily accessed by anyone with limited mobility. Our neighbours, who we are close with, have some limited mobility and don't come over when their knees are feeling sore.

Our pets

Dogs (2)

Jaggar (10, male) and Georgie (1, female) are gentle and lovely Rottweilers, a very misunderstood breed if you're not familiar with them personally. Georgie is an energetic puppy and requires some playing with and walks. Jaggar is a refined elderly gentleman who thinks he is a lapdog and likes to spend his days napping with occasional cuddles.

Our garden

Minimal - We will have some vegies planted in the beds (4 standard raised beds) that the sitter can help themselves to. Being the summer months, some light maintenance should wield a decent harvest. I would also appreciate some of the flowers being dead-headed, but its not mandatory. We're learner gardeners ourselves.
