Full-time travel is fantastic but it means that we are no longer able to have our own pets. We love housesitting because we get to spend quality time with other people's pets - it's a genuine privelege and we love every minute of it.

We are caring & professional sitters from New Zealand (although Chris is originally from the UK) currently travelling the world full-time. We own our own business in NZ and work remotely so we're always available for the pets we look after.

During our travels over the past eight years, we have looked after pets and houses all over the world. During our travels over the past eight years, we have looked after pets and houses all over the world. We've completed more than 50 sits on other websites (Trusted Housesitters and Kiwi Housesitters; we have 5-star ratings on both sites) but have decided to spend some time in Australia so thought it was about time to sign up for an Aussie website! We are always happy to provide references from our previous housesits. We are non-smokers and home owners who naturally keep a clean and tidy home.

We've cared for pets of all shapes & sizes - cats, dogs (including a 95kg St Bernard, Newfies & large Mastiffs as well as tiny teacup Chihuahuas), reptiles, farm animals, fish, birds, rabbits, rodents and alpacas! We've cared for all sorts of different homes, from a tiny cottage on a Canadian island to a large Bed & Breakfast property in Spain.

We are very comfortable caring for elderly pets, pets needing medications, multiple pets and very large (or very small) dogs. We're also active and health-conscious so really enjoy getting out and about for outdoor adventures with dogs.

Nikki has worked with pets for 15 years, in retail buying, nutrition, welfare and rescue adoptions. Chris has a background in electrical work and property management. He's a keen gardener and handyman, so your property (as well as your pets!) will always be in safe hands with us.

Because we are self-employed and work remotely, we can be extremely flexible around sit length and location. We will be in Australia from 3rd April 2026 onwards but have no fixed plans to work around so we look forward to seeing as much of the country as possible! We have our own car too.

Great couple, house was spotless, dog was happy, highly recommended
Nikki and Chris were wonderful sitters for us and we’d be happy to recommend them to anyone! Due to us leaving for our trip early and returning later in the day, we didn’t get the chance to meet in person but Nikki and Chris were wonderful communicators who kept in touch during the sit, were adaptable to our needs, and left our house spotless - and cats very happy! We’d happily have them care for our little cats again in future. Thank you!
FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. THESE NICE PEOPLE DIDNT ONLY LOOK AFTER THE ANIMALS, THEY ALSO DID SOME LANDSCAPING. VERY IMPRESSED. PLUS THEY LEFT THE PLACE IMMACULATE.

They were fabulous. Good communication. Nicola came and met me to walk through everything before we left. The house was so clean and spotless when we returned. Our cat Billie and the fish Bowie were both well and happy. They even did some weeding in the garden for us, which looks great. Was an all round positive experience. Would definately recommend them. They sent us a couple of messages just to let us know how things were going which was nice. Great experience.

They took our dog Aoife on plenty of trips and visits to Nikki's work. Having such a long time away from home (6 weeks) it was so nice to know our pets and house were in such good hands. Nikki and Chris were such fabulous pet sitters, we were so lucky to have them. Ellie went on many fun adventures to Nikki’s work and Smokey got lots of lap cuddles and even scored a new cat bed from Nikki’s work! They took excellent care of our home and it was immaculately clean when we got home. I had great updates with pics and videos the whole time we were away. We really appreciate all of the effort, love and care Nikki and Chris took. I highly recommend them both 😀

Nicola and Chris were wonderful housesitters who we would highly recommend. We crossed over briefly and felt very comfortable leaving them in our home with Pipi. Great communicators, trustworthy and great dog walkers! I arrived home to a very content dog and a tidy house. Chris and Nicola also sent update photos of adventures with Pipi that I really enjoyed. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Thank you so very much to Chris and Nikki for looking after our home and two dogs. Amazing communication and followed all instructions for our precious pooches to the letter. Our home was beautiful and clean. Both dogs were very happy and relaxed, which is a big deal as our highly strung poodle suffers separation anxiety. Wonderful first sitting experience with Nikki and Chris! I was super nervous as this service seems absolutely too good to be true, but it all worked out so well. Due to my nerves I requested Chris come over ahead of time to meet the dog, (she's our 5th child- can't leave her with just anyone ;-)). While I sure it was not convenient, Chris did so without complaining- he was so polite and kind- he totally put my mind at ease that our rambunctious puppy would be safe and well cared for. From ... Great experience all around and would highly recommend this couple- we will snap them up again if they are available next time we are away.
