We are a very reliable couple who have recently moved to Goolwa SA, after 25 years in Tassie.

favoriteWhy we love house sitting

We view ourselves as pet sitters, rather than house sitters - for us it is about spending time with animals more than anything else. We love that we get to experience so many different breeds and types, including some very unexpected ones! The only downside is having to say goodbye!

I was a post op, palliative care and oncology nurse, Dave was a Commonwealth public servant.

Whilst I'm a total homebody, Dave is more active and does volunteering. He has a current police check and Working With Vulnerable People card.

I am definitely a cat lady, and adore dogs too! I had a pony when young, so whilst not a master horsewoman, I know the ropes. Dave is also great with easy care horses, chooks and goats.

When pet sitting, we are home most of the time, with occasional day trips in the area, but our focus is always our time with our petsit animals. We are happy to take dogs out with us if they are car trained.

Having had many pets ourselves, we know that putting pets into restrictive, infection prone care environments takes a physical and emotional toll on them and you - so it is always our pleasure to help you keep your animals in their own safe homes.

We are very neat and tidy, non-smokers, nor drinkers. Having established 8 beautiful gardens over the years, we are happy to help maintain your plants, gardens and lawns.

Pet care

We have owned cats, dogs and chooks, and looked after horses, goats, pigeons and fish. I grew up with horses, but not an expert - feeding, rugging, light grooming is fine. We are familiar with farm animals, fencing, gates, mowing etc....

Marjorie and David were fantastic house sitters and highly recommend them. Our 2 Maltese Shitzu’s were well looked after and seemed very happy and spoilt. Our house was spotless just as we left it and hopefully can rebook them in the future.

Marjorie and David put us at ease straightaway with their friendly and caring nature. This was our first time using Aussie housesitters, so it was great to have an experienced couple in Marjorie and David. They listened to all our instructions and asked lots of practical questions. We left for our holiday feeling very comfortable that they would take great care of our animals - including a boisterous Visalia puppy! We received photos and messages relating to the animals settling into ... MoreMarjorie and David put us at ease straightaway with their friendly and caring nature. This was our first time using Aussie housesitters, so it was great to have an experienced couple in Marjorie and David. They listened to all our instructions and asked lots of practical questions. We left for our holiday feeling very comfortable that they would take great care of our animals - including a boisterous Visalia puppy! We received photos and messages relating to the animals settling into life with their housesitters, which was very reassuring. We returned a week later to very happy animals and a tidy house. Marjorie and Peter took great care of our home and all the animals were very happy and looked after beautifully. Comminication was great. We hope to see Marjorie and David again in the future. I would highly recommend them for any future house sits.

Marjorie and David are lovely people, with very caring natures, obvious in the way they have cared for both our dogs and property. They unfortunately faced some challenges with home maintenance, (no fault of theirs) and facilitated repairs for us. We were so grateful.
