House sitting has given us some of the most amazing memories from travelling the world together.

We are Chris and Abi, an English couple living in Sydney. Chris has been here for 2 and 1/2 years and works as a retail operations manager across several stadiums and arenas around NSW.

Abi has been in Australia for 18 months and works as a customer service manager for a social media company - she works remote so works from home 4 days a week which perfect to keep the little ones company!

In England we both have experience of looking after Dogs and Cats. Both of us have owned dogs from an early age and love the care and companionship. During our house sitting journey., we’ve experienced a range of new animals including snakes, turtles, lizards and rabbits. So we’re pretty much open to anything!

We are both hard working, friendly and respectful people who love the opportunity to make new furry friends whilst having the opportunity to travel, save and see new places.

Pet care

Myself and Abi have been pet sitting for over a year now and we love everything about it. We’re majority based in Sydney due to work and use this as our main source for accommodation during our working holiday years.

Chris and Abbi were excellent House sitters and I can highly recommend them. They are friendly, reliable with excellent communication. They took wonderful care of our Golden Retriever Maisie, sending photos of her on walks etc. Our house was well looked after too. We could relax on our holiday knowing Chris and Abbi were looking after everything. We have had great experiences with Aussie Housesitters = so much better than using a kennel.
Chris and Abi were more than amazing before, during and after they sat for my 4 cats and 1 rabbit for almost 9 weeks. Their communication throughout the experience alleviated my anxiety about about being away while helped me be more present throughout my travels. They sent lots of photos and updates which helped ease the home sickness. They left the house in an impeccable state when leaving and were so kind as to follow up once I'd arrived home to see the pets and I were home safe and sound. ... Chris and Abi looked after Anubis and Hades while I was overseas in NYC, and I really appreciated the care they gave to the pets during that time. They kept me updated with photos, which was very reassuring while I was away, and it was lovely to see Anubis and Hades settled and being cared for. I returned to both pets safe and well, which was the most important thing to me. They also kindly collected my mail and kept me updated about parcels that arrived while I was overseas, which I ... Chris and Abi looked after Rex for me while I was away. House was fine when I came back and dog was fine as well. Communication during the sit could be improved quite a bit for owners peace of mind

Chris and Abi looked after my house and two Bengals for four weeks or so. They communicated well with updates while I was overseas. Upon my return the house was clean and cats were relaxed. Couldn’t ask for more.
Chris and Abi are lovely people. They took such great good care of Pookie. Our house was also incredibly tidy when we came home. They were great with communication and are very reliable. We are also having them back to look after Pookie again because they were so great!
Chris and Abi sat for us for 3 months. They communicated well with us, sent pics of our dogs and cat, who seemed to have bonded well with them. When we arrived home, our pets and house were seen to have been looked after quite well by them. We would be happy to get them in the future when we are travelling again.
Chris & Abi took such good care of our dog Harley and we came home to a clean house, bedding and towels washed and a note and parting gift. We would book them again for our next house sit.
Abi and Chris were great sitters, came back to a clean house and happy cats.
Abi and Chris were exceptional house carers. I enjoyed meeting up with them and handing over responsibility for Abby the house cat. I hope she managed to bond a little as she is a bit stand offish with new people. Thanks for leaving the house so clean for my return. I will contact you again when the next camping trip is planned. Abi and Chris were fabulous. Our dog Sochi was very happy when we arrived home. It was obvious he had been walked, fed and generally well cared for. Abi and Chris did a great job maintaining our house. Caring for our indoor plants, collecting mail and keeping the house neat and tidy. We enjoyed receiving photos of Sochi at home and on walks.
Very happy with Chris and Abi, they took great care of our place, were very respectful and had excellent communication. They showed a lot of love for our girl Georgia, who clearly loved them back! A really lovely couple.
Chris and Abi have been fantastic sitters. The house was tidy when they left, the cats and dogs were all healthy and happy, and they have been terrific communicators! They sent lots of photos of our furry brood while we were away, and they made sure to take the dogs to the park on the weekend, which we really appreciated. I would absolute recommend Chris and Abi as excellent housesitters, and we wish them very well on their travels and future sits! PS - Roy misses you already.
