we are a couple from Adelaide currently travelling full time.
We were both self employed, Shane had a successful garden maintenance business and Tegan was a self employed Rehabilitation Trainer. We sold our businesses to take time off to travel Australia with our beautiful 14 1/2 year old dog Ella which we were lucky to have had the first 3 months of our trip with her before she passed away.

We were both self employed, Shane had a successful garden maintenance business and Tegan was a self employed Rehabilitation Trainer. We sold our businesses to take time off to travel Australia with our beautiful 14 1/2 year old dog Ella which we were lucky to have had the first 3 months of our trip with her before she passed away.
We have since sold our van to continue house sitting full time as we love to share our time with the adorable pets we meet along the way.
We are animal lovers and treat every animal as if they were our own.
We are fit and active non smokers and very tidy and will maintain a high standard whilst looking after your house.
We can provide references and have alot of experience looking after other people’s pets and are comfortable and familiar with administering medications.
Your home and pets are in safe hands with us.

Couldn't be any better!!!! Our 3 dogs were instantly comfortable with Shane & Tegan, then it got even better from the photo evidence! Good thing we bought that longer sofa for all 5 to snuggle up together whilst we were away. The 3 dogs give them a 12 paw review! Let's hope we get a chance to have our dogs people-sit Shane & Tegan again soon.
How lucky we were to find Tegan and Shane! From the first message communication was prompt and clear. We were lucky to arrange a meet and greet before and knew they were the perfect fit. Our house was kept well with sheets and towels washed for us - this was a pleasant surprise. Our dogs were so spoilt with long walks and cuddles. I think they had a better holiday than we did! This is the second time we've had Shane and Tegan house sit for us, and once again they exceeded all expectations. The care they gave our Golden Retriever, Zoe, was exceptional. It was obvious from the regular updates, photos and videos that she was genuinely loved, played with and treated like one of their own. Being able to enjoy our holiday knowing Zoe was so happy and well cared for gave us complete peace of mind. They also took wonderful care of our home, leaving it absolutely ... Shane & Tegan looked after our house, Moby our dog and a few steers for 3 weeks. As soon as we met Shane & Tegan, we knew we were in safe hands. They are a warm friendly confident couple who clearly love animals. Communication was excellent with regular updates and photos, which was greatly appreciated. When we arrived home the house and garden were immaculate and even had a salad made for us in case, we were hungry, so thoughtful! We highly recommend Shane & Tegan to anyone who is lucky ... Shane and Teagan are a delightful couple who looked after our much loved Great Dane cross dog named Mia for 17 days in April 2026. Two days before they arrived Mia had completed a 2 1/2 month long program of Chemotherapy due to having contracted Lymphoma. Consequently, having the right people to look after her was even more important than ever. Tegan and Shane are delightful. Communication was fabulous, their enthusiasm for the pets and love and care was super and my home was left spotless. I would love to have them back again and I highly recommend you to try to use their services.
Shane and Tegan were fantastic in looking after our Maggie and keeping the house in order whilst we were away. The house was spotless on our return and Maggie the Cavoodle gave a great report on their stay.
I would like to say Tegan and Shane were terrible so I could keep them to myself, however knowing it doesnt work that way I have to be honest. They were two lovely people, easy going and communicative. Our two puppies acknowledged them the moment they arrived and the bond between them appeared to grow in the short time we were away, They communicated with us with lots of pictures, but I knew our puppies were in good hands from the moment I met them. We were quite nervous using a house sitter service for the first time, but from our initial contact with Shane & Tegan, we were put at ease. A positive, happy, healthy couple who love life! They could not have looked after the animals or the house any better. They clearly love animals and provided our sooky dog with all the love, cuddles and exercise he needed. Regular updates and pictures were sent to us which was greatly appreciated. They also helped out with the pool and garden, ... Tegan and Shane very capably looked after our cat and house and garden for 2 weeks. We were delighted to have them and we returned with everything very well looked after, despite extremely hot weather, and impeccably presented. Communication was excellent and we were regularly updated with photos of our cat Pablo Picatso having a wonderful time with his new best friends. We also enjoyed their company for a couple of evenings. We highly recommend them.
Shane and Tegan certainly lived up to all their great reviews. We can't speak highly enough of the way they cared for our dog Max and our home. They are such a lovely couple, very engaging and easy to communicate with. Max was very spoilt and I'm sure he will miss them. We would not hesitate to recommend them and would love to have them to house sit again.
Tegan and Shane, are amazing. When we first met them we loved their energy, how quickly they connected with our dog Buddy and felt safe leaving him and our house in their care. Throughout the time away Tegan stayed in contact with us, sharing updates of their adventures with Buddy and sending us pup photos. Tegan and Shane were so great! From the get go they were good with communication. They then took such good care of our dogs who were so calm and relaxed when we got home. They kept us updated on our 2 cocker spaniels, and as one of our dogs is quite old we were happy to hear updates and see photps of slow walks and cuddles. The house was sparkling clean too! Highly recommend them both and I hope we can get them to come back again!
Shane and Tegan were absolutely amazing! This was our first time getting housesitters and they made us feel comfortable right from the start. We were away for six weeks and they looked after our golden retriever, Simba, and our home better than we could have ever hoped. They honestly went above and beyond. We came back to find the house in even better condition than we left it, and throughout the trip they kept us updated with messages and photos of Simba. He was clearly loved, walked, and ... As first timers to Aussie House Sitters we may have hit the jack pot with Tegan and Shane! Our family were heading overseas for 3 weeks and with Tegan and Shane looking after our house and dog we felt like we didn't have to worry about home at all, a critical part of being able to have a relaxing break. Some crazy weather caused a tree to come down in our backyard and they were on the front foot with managing everything so we didn't have to worry. Our boys were extremely well loved and looked after the entire time Shane and Tegan house sat. We had regular updates while we were away and even had a face time with the dogs. We unexpectedly had an issue with a small pond in our garden and thankfully they managed to maintain the issue until we returned. What ... We were delighted to have Shane & Tegan as pet sitters for our cats Cosmo & Jerry. They are an enthusiastic, vibrant & friendly couple who obviously love animals. Communication was prompt, and they treated our house as if it was their own - it was immaculate on our return; more importantly, our cats were calm & relaxed, being able to stay in their own surroundings. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Shane & Tegan - we would love to have them sit again for us !!

Shane and Tegan did a fantastic job caring for our home and our 3-year-old Golden Retriever. Their communication before the sit was excellent, and they kept us updated with messages and photos while we were away. We returned to a spotless home and a happy, relaxed dog—it was clear she had been very well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Shane and Tegan house-sit again and highly recommend them to others.
Shane and Tegan were fantastic. Our fussy rescue dog wants to move in with them, and we saw how happy she was in each update they sent. They sorted some wayward chickens without fuss, The house was left perfectly clean and tidy, and we highly recommend them.

This was a second sit for Shane and Tegan at our property. They are a fabulous caring couple who looked after our girls Rosie and Zelda and our three cats Baxter, Pearl and Charlotte. Mark and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a sitter. They are honest, fun and take good care of everyone and the house. We look forward to them sitting for us again in the future Rosie and Zelda are missing them 🥰

We have no hesitation in recommending Shane and Tegan as pet and housesitters.Due to the onset of Cyclone Albert we invited Shane and Tegan to arrive early which was great as we got to spend time with them and they were able to meet all our pets before we left. They are such kind caring people and looked after our dogs with such great care. They had a few unexpected curve balls thrown at them but the handled each situation without a problem. They are coming back to do a second housesit for ... Shane and Tegan were excellent with my dogs, even my almost 15 yr old, with her meds. They are so caring, really loves animals. They are good people & spoilt my Labradoodles with lots of cuddles and attention. Would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat! Thank you for looking after Ari and Roxy! 🐶
We truly hope Tegan & Shane come back to care for our 4 (working) dogs, horse (Jock), ducks & cattle next time we can manage to go away for a break - they have been absolutely fabulous............they've showered our dogs with so much love & attention, no hint of our dogs having missed us when we returned.
