I love discovering a new area and meeting and caring for new animal friends.

Hi! I am a reliable, experienced and responsible house and pet sitter.

I have experience with many different types of sits in Australia and overseas, ranging from looking after sled dog teams and log cabins in northern Canada, to snakes in central Australia. My most recent experiences have been farm/dog/house sits in the Huon Valley and South Hobart area in Tasmania (where I have some regular sits I've returned to numerous times), and in Alice Springs.

I am a quiet and conscientious person with an eye for detail. I am clean and enjoy keeping a space well ordered. I understand that your home is your space, and believe in treating your home with the greatest respect.

I enjoy looking after animals, and have a particularly soft spot for dogs, which are pretty much my best friends. I’ve also looked after cats, ducks, horses, chickens, snakes, and of course goldfish.

I enjoy garden time, and can operate machinery such as ride on mowers and brush cutters.

I have just finished a year in a management role in Alice Springs, and will soon be travelling to Queensland to pick up a car I've just bought, and for a bit of holiday time, before returning to Alice Springs.

As of the 6th of August I am in the Brisbane area and will be making my way up to the Cairns area over the next month or two, before returning home to the NT. I am ideally looking for sits from a few days duration up to a week, but am open to opportunities so please feel free to get in touch.

Review

We are so grateful to Michael for looking after our property, dogs and chooks for almost 4 weeks. We really enjoyed the updates and photos of the dogs during our break and everything in the house and on the land was just perfect on our return. It’s obvious that Didge and Choco are missing Michael now we’re back - we cannot recommend Michael as a house sitter highly enough.
