Pet care

I've been pet sitting for 9 years for other people, which includes a range of different dogs and cats. I'd previously owned two dogs over 35 years, and grew up with pets on a farm.

Nick was excellent with our Border Collie. He looked after our garden and house well. Neighbours found Nick friendly and commented on his quiet friendly nature. We would not hesitate to recommend him to look after your pets/s and home ! We look forward to Nick doing further house and pet sitting for us in the future.
Nick was great. he did everything we asked of him, easy to communicate with and left the house immaculate. The dogs were happy when we returned and he kept us informed while we were away. We give Nick the highest recommendation. Wayne and Lynndell

Nick was awesome! Trooper got 2 walks a day and the house/garden was immaculate upon my return. Being a slightly anxious dog I was impressed how quickly they bonded and was very happy about the outings and updates(he took them for a true nature walk over a weekend and the images show true happiness from Trooper) Nick has a calm demeanor which was perfect for my older dog. Will definitely ask him to sit again if available.
Nick arrived on time and responded to messages in a timely fashion. The cat was well looked after. The inside of the house was clean and well looked after.
Accidentally won’t allow me to take N/A off cat. Jessie was wonderful, enjoying the easier time and sun, and never complained to brush. Under sheltered plants watered, grey sprinkler moved through large lawn area, and efficient mower. Lost two stars due to whipper snipper chord over releasing so ... Nick put our minds at ease to be able to leave our 11-month old Kelpie at home for 5 weeks! On return, the 1 acre of garden was a bit of a jungle, but it was the warmest & wettest time of year so we expected the growth. On hindsight, we should have requested a weekly mow instead of 1 mow. Nick did well to tidy the 1 large tree which came down in a storm. Our house, puppy, fish and chickens were all fine on return.
I wasn’t specifically asked to prune the large garden, and for the sake of transparency I mowed the lawn twice, including three days before the homeowners returned.
My dogs liked Nick as soon as he was introduced to them, and he was calm and gentle with them. I came home to a clean and tidy house, watered plants, and two happy dogs. He even stripped his bed and washed the sheets before he left.

Nick did an absolutely amazing job looking after my precious pets and home. I returned home to happy healthy animals and a thriving garden. My 2 dogs and 2 cats were happy as could be and showed no signs of anxiety. Nicks experience with animals meant he was even confident enough to help my little horse deliver her foal safe and sound. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone as a housesitter, and hope that he is available the next time I'm needing someone to look after my home.
