Hi, I'm 54 years old, non-smoker with extensive pet/house-sitting experience, supported by plenty of references.

Over the years I've had the pleasure of caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, including reactive dogs, as well as plenty of cats, and some guinea pigs, chickens, birds, and fish. I also have experience looking after elderly and unwell pets, including administering medication with confidence and care.

My house-sitting experience ranges from big semi-rural properties requiring garden and pool maintenance to city apartments with indoor plants. I take pride in treating every home with the same care and respect as if it were my own, keeping everything clean, tidy, and well maintained.

I live a calm, healthy lifestyle and enjoy daily yoga and meditation. Pets naturally respond to my gentle and patient nature, and I genuinely love spending time with them.

Originally from Sweden, I moved to Australia in 2005 and became an Australian citizen in 2017. Please note that I do not smoke or travel with any pets of my own.

Gisela did a great job looking after our house and dog for five weeks. From the first contact, Gisela’s communication was prompt and friendly . Our dog (a groodle) tends to be a bit anxious and on our return it was evident how well she had been looked after and that she really liked Gisela. Gisela also managed her medication without any problem. The house was clean on our return. We will definitely use Gisela again.
Gisela took such good care of our dog and the apartment while we were away. Scoodie was very calm and relaxed when we arrived home. Gisela was very responsive to our messages and was very happy to come over to meet us prior to our trip.

This was our first time using house sitters and Gisela reassured and gave us confidence right from the beginning. We arrived home to an immaculate house, happy birds in their aviary and 2 calm content dogs. Gisela kept us up to date with communications while we were away which was great as we missed our pets. Gisela took lovely care of Bluey and our home, Bluey was relaxed and happy when we returned home and was obviously very well taken care of, with long walks and loving care. We’d love for Gisela to house sit for us again.
Gisela took care of our two cats while we were on holidays and we were very happy with everything. The cats were well cared for, we received updates incl. videos mid-stay and our place was cleaned spotless when we arrived home (thanks Gisela!). Our cats are rescue cats and do not easily connect with new people but with Gisela's calm personality and cat experience, it was no issue. We highly recommend Gisela as a house sitter and hope to book in another stay in 2023!

We could not have been happier, nor had better peace of mind, knowing Gisela was caring for our apartment & our 2 young Tonkinese girls during our 2 month absence. Gisela has a natural inner peace that our girls immediately bonded with, including Mischief who is quite shy and very discerning. Our home was spotless upon our return. Gisela has a delightful personality, is calm, and a good clear communicator. Her resourcefulness also shone through with her handling of 2 unanticipated ... We conducted a thorough walk-through of the house, pool & garden areas prior to the sit. Detailed written instructions were provided as to the care of the house, garden, pool & potted plants. Garden duties were minimal & involved watering some small areas 1-2 times a week, if necessary. Given that we retained the services of our pool technician, gardener & cleaner for the duration, we felt the brief was manageable. Gisella took very good care of my dog, cat and home. Everything was kept very clean, the pot plants watered and pets happy. Would highly recommend.
Gisela was a courteous and great house sitter for our home and little dog. The dog was relaxed and happy when we came home. If covid permits, we would love to use Gisela again.
I would highly recommend Gisela to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pets and/or home. She has developed a lovely relationship with our old girl. There was excellent communication, including a video of our sweet Poppy on her birthday. The house and dog were immaculate when we returned home. Giselle was a great reliable housesitter for my cat Harley. Giselle was great at communicating, friendly and looked after Harley and house very well. WOuld highly reccommend Giselle for house sits and will be reaching out to her for future housesits for myself.
Gisela is a gentle and kind person who cared beautifully for our Greyhound, I could see upon our return how much he had bonded with her and the affection between them was lovely to see.

Gisela looked after my sisters 2 dogs and guinea pigs for 3 weeks whilst both of us travelled overseas .. she did a wonderful job of looking after the animals whom were very sad to see her leave .. the dogs were walked daily and well loved and the house spotless.. as I found Gisela on my site my sister has given me this review to post as she will definitely be getting Gisela back to housesit and since has looked after another of my friends dogs and home .. My sister would highly recommend her
