Hello, I am Matt, an experienced housesitter and animal carer.

I am a retired airline pilot with experience in the Royal Navy who now enjoys a more relaxed lifestyle. I have many reviews. I'm a non-smoker and non-drinker.

I know it is important to look after your house and pets well. I will treat both like my own and keep in touch with photos if you choose.

Matt was a brilliant house sitter and was excellent with his communications. He sent regular photos of Freddie out on his walks or lounging on the sofa. The house was clean and tidy when I returned - a great bonus. This was my first time having a house/pet sitter and it couldn't have gone better. I would highly recommend him. Thanks Matt!
Would recommend Matt!
This was our first time using this site, and with Matt being our sitter, we'd have no issues doing so again. From the get go, Matt maintained good communication with us, both verbal and written, and on return had left the house in a very clean state. He provided great care for our two cats as well as maintained our yards and spa. Would gladly have him back again.
Matt took care of our home, garden, chickens & Millie (our dog) for 3 Weeks. I cannot recommend Matt highly enough. He won Millie's heart . Although pleased to see us home, she kept looking everywhere for her Matt for t he first 5 days. The garden & chickens were looking very happy and well cared for. Entering our house as we arrived home was a joyful experience. The whole house was sparkling, I was so happy, even the windows had been cleaned for me. Matt and Lore spent 3 weeks in our home looking after our 12 year old Labrador. They did an excellent job walking, feeding and being with him. The flat was left in great condition on our return. We hope they will come back another time to House sit.

Matt & Lore were my first experience with house sitters & I must admit to being worried about leaving my fur babies but everything was perfect. They were super friendly, left the house in a very clean state & my fur babies were relaxed & stress free when I got home. They were very understanding of my need for short daily updates on how the dogs were going. I thank them for making it such a positive experience & would recommend Matt & Lore without hesitation :-D

Thanks to Matt and Lore our recent holiday was stress free and enjoyable. I was confident that they would be the ideal people to look after our two dogs and Home. When we came home they had completely taken care of the house which was spotless and the dogs were well and happy. Matt and Lore looked after my villa and dog for 4 days in December 2017. They were very friendly and reliable, and happy to keep in contact in my absence. They respected my house rules and the villa was well cared for. They handled a very difficult situation of my dog being unwell with extreme care. I would highly recommend them should you need someone to house and/or pet sit for you.

Matt and Lore, Looked after our dog and 2 cats perfectly during the week we were away. The pets were happy to see us, but did miss their new minders too, for a few days. Matt kept in touch after the sit was arranged, which helped a lot with planning. The house was left amazingly clean and tidy. I would recommend Matt and Lore as sitters.

It was a pleasure meeting Matt prior to having him and Lore housesit for us. They took amazing care of our cats and home and the communication each week was welcomed. We have no hesitation in recommending Matt & Lore to anyone who requires house-sitters!!

I couldn't recommend Lore and Matt enough. This was our first time having housesiiters looking after our place and our exotic short hair cat, Sunny. Communication was great. They left our place absolutely spotless. And most importantly they took excellent care of our special kittie. He is fussy with his food and a little underweight and Matt and Lore made sure that he was eating enough and often. We could not have asked for a better first experience with House Sitters Canada. Matt and Lore put us at ease right away. Their kindness and obvious love for animals made us feel like we made the right choice. And we certainly did. It took 5 seconds after meeting Lore and Matt to feel comfortable with leaving our house and animals in their care. Ace, our dog and the chooks were very well cared for and the house immaculate to come home to. Lore and Matt are such a likeable, friendly couple and I would highly recommend them for any house sit and would look forward to them returning to our house.

A very nice and trustworthy couple made my very first house sitter experience so easy. I I was able to spend one month holiday overseas without any worries. I came home to find a spotless house and happy healthy cats. I would definitely ask them to housesit again. 5 star house sitters!

Lore & Matt were delightful to meet and I felt very at ease leaving my house and the care of Wheatley in their hands. My house was spotless and Wheatley looked well cared for on my return. Such a wonderful feeling knowing your fur baby is safe and sound while you're away. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lore & Matt as wonderful house sitters and excellent animal carers.
