We need a house sitter

Mid North - Clare Valley

Marie

Hi lovely people!
We are Greg & Marie. We are Rural Fencing Contractors getting closer to retirement and having a taste of some travelling!
We will be going away in the first 2 weeks of June this year and have a small property and animals to look after. Besides the animals, its mainly a presence that we like to have. We would prefer our home sitter to have their own caravan or similar but our house will be accessible to feed fish and general check up. There is an outside bathroom available (toilet & shower) and an outside laundry.
We live on 132 acres at Lower Light which is 30 min drive to Adelaide, and a day trip to Barossa or Clare Valley and Yorke Peninsula. The local area has some nice little beach towns for crabbing and walking trails in a bird sanctuary. Also many small towns to visit. The nearest is Two Wells that has a gorgeous Craft shop, a to-die-for cafe and award winning bakery.
Our menagerie includes: 2 mini horses that need hay in the morning and a hard feed at night plus collect manure and check water. Sheep in paddock just need a visual check as they will have hay. Chooks to be fed/watered and collect eggs. Two dogs (Border Collie & Blue Heeler x Kelpie) need to be fed once a day and throw a ball! Fish inside house fed once a day. A young Euro is happy to be fed and given attention every day. He likes a daily banana!
Depending on rain (its still very dry!) and weather conditions there may be some pots and plants in a shade house to water once or twice and a veggie garden that may need drippers turned on and some hand watering. The power box needs to be checked each day for clipsal switch which trips regularly here unfortunately. There are lots of old sheds and I have a big garden to explore. We also have a nice outdoor fire pit and lots of wood available.
We are about 1km from the main highway and have a good little country pub that does popular cheap meals.
If you need photos of the property, please ask and I will go take some. The landscape here is flat and dry and we are surrounded by paddocks. Its close to everything yet far away enough to be peaceful.
We look forward to hearing from you :)
