Newstead VIC

We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy house sitter to look after our comfortable, spacious and well equipped 3 bedroom home on 1 acre in the cute little rural Victorian town, Newstead. We have an amazingly comfortable king size bed, newly renovated bathroom and huge kitchen.

The house is 7 mins walk from Newstead village where there is a local supermarket, bakery, cafe, pub, butcher, swimming pool (open summer holiday period only) and local nature walks.

Newstead is 25 mins from Daylesford, 15 mins from Castlemaine and about 45 mins from Bendigo. Winter is a gorgeous time here. Everything is lush and green.

Castlemaine has a great live music scene, cinema, restaurants, cafes and shops. There is a train station in Castlemaine which takes you to Melbourne in about 1.5hrs.

As part of your stay, you need to take care of our fubabies - Indi, our 10yo blue heeler x collie x love bucket and Lea & Jed our 6yo cute, but naughty, indoor cats. They are an affectionate and human-loving bunch and are used to people being home all day (we work from home), so we need a house sitter who will be around a lot. Sorry, no kids as it will take the animals too long to adjust to new small people around. Indi needs a walk or two each day. There are some beautiful walks along the river nearby. The cats just need love, pats and food.

The garden needs a bit of care - some hand watering of pot plants, some irrigation taps, but nothing epic.
