NARRABUNDAH ACT

I am going overseas to visit my wife who now lives overseas with her 97-year old father in order to care for him. I will be away from 4th June until the end of July, and I am looking for a house/dog sitter for all or some of that time (flexible!), but preferably 1-2 months.
The house is in Narrabundah, a leafy, inner suburb of Canberra. It is a two-bathroom, three-bedroom house with a sunroom/music room. It is a short and pleasant walk to Griffith shops, and the larger Manuka shops are about 1 1/2 km away. The main shopping/business centre of Canberra is about 15 minutes' drive or bus from the nearby bus stop, and the main national institutions, such as Parliament House, the National Gallery, and the National Library are closer. Griffith, Manuka and Kingston nearby have many good restaurants, cafes and shops.

The garden is large and established, and shouldn't require much care during June and July, but there is a watering system if and when needed. Pot plants will likely need watering about once a week.

Buddy, my Jack Russell, is a lovely natured, very friendly dog. He's getting on a bit and after a 15-minute walk in the morning he is happy to snooze in his basket for the rest of the day or hang out with me in the garden. He sleeps inside, in his basket but never in a bedroom.

The house-sit would suit someone who is not out all day, for example, working from home, or retired. But if you wish to get away for a day—or more—I have two brothers in Canberra who would be more than happy to take Buddy.
