I am looking for a house sitter to keep my cat Mimi company while I'm away overseas . She is a rescue cat and cautious with strangers, so may hide away for at least part of your visit. She usually overcomes her initial shyness after a few days, and will be out for evening cuddles, and lazing in the sun.
I am ideally looking for a single person as Mimi is not used to living with more than 1 person.
I have a 2 bedroom townhouse with reverse cycle AC in the living room and all the usual things. No dishwasher. There's a workspace set up with height adjustable desk/monitors etc if you need to work. There's a garage but better for storage than driving into. The unit is bright and sunny, and just 5 minutes walk to Narooma beach and the supermarket. Glasshouse Rocks is also only 25 minutes walk - a lovely spot.
It was lovely to stay at Kaths in Narooma with Mimi for company. Mimi is shy, quiet and likes a snuggle in the evenings on the couch. Kaths home is sunny, bright, comfortable and in a quiet neighbourhood. Within easy walking distance to shops and the beach. Narooma and surrounds is a great spot to explore, with coastal walks and beautiful beaches. A perfect pet sit.
What a great sit! Mimi is a lovely cat, very shy at first but then quite friendly in the evenings. She is super easy to look after. Kath was wonderful and left great instructions. The house was lovely and very comfortable and clean, its a great location very close to everything in wonderful Narooma! 10 from 10

Mimi was very shy and I didn't see her for a few days. I only.knew she was there because the food I put out was gone in the morning BUT once she trusted me we became BFFs for the rest of the 3 week.sit and she's super sweet and easy to look after.
Kath checked in to see we were going okay but other than that she left me to do my job.

It was a pleasure to pet sit for Kath. Her cat, Mimi, is delightful! Mimi was very shy at first but soon turned into a very sweet and affectionate fur baby. Kath's house is an oasis in a very quiet location and is surrounded by lovely garden. Her house is also very convenient to shops and gyms. Kath is easy to get along with and I felt very comfortable. I would be happy to pet sit for Kath again.
It was an absolute pleasure to look after Kath's home and shy but super affectionate kitty cat, Mimi.
The house was clean, cosy and peaceful with sweet homely vibes and a beautiful secluded garden.
Kath is easy-going, communicative and organised. She left me with detailed info to refer back to which made my stay simple and stress free.
I would highly recommend to future sitters, especially if you are a cat-loving homebody!
Kath's house is a lovely 2 bedroom unit with great heating. All very comfortable. I was going by bus to the city while there which was about 45 min. It's a short bus to Westfield Belconnen. Mimi was quite shy but liked a pat when she was in her bed and would also jump on my bed at night. Overall a lovely stay.
Kath is very friendly and welcoming and maintains a beautiful courtyard home; creating an oasis in the backyard that is the perfect escape from the stresses of daily life. As for Mimi, she is the most delightful and gentle cat who needs a little bit of space to get to know you. She really loves to be stroked and given a head massage.... over the time I was there her fun and quirky personality really shone through. I would love to care for her again.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
