We are a retired couple living in Adelaide. Our beloved cat passed away in January this year and we miss him. We would like to try house/pet sitting as a way to temporarily have a cat again. We are experienced in looking after old cats, ours was 20. We are meticulous about housekeeping and are happy to look after plants or gardens.
We are also happy to care for small dogs. Walking is one of our main pastimes so if your dog is energetic, we are the right people for plenty of walks.
We are fairly new to Aussie Housesitters.
John is a retired IT worker who sails, cycles and hikes.
Wendy is a retired teacher who hikes, goes to gym and volunteers.
We are non-smokers.
We both love to travel and hope to do some more house sitting with this in mind.

Wendy,John and their daughter Lucy (20 yrs) came to look after our place for a few days over the Christmas period in 2023. From the start the communication between us went well. Wendy responded promptly to texts and phone calls. They arrived at the time we agreed to and were very willing to do all the tasks we needed doing. Wendy and John looked after our house and 3 pets when we went away for 2 nights. The house was clean and tidy when we got home and the pets were well looked after - the dogs even got plenty of walks even though the weather terrible.
