Hey,
I’m Stephen, often known as Steve, I’m from the UK and moving to Cairns from 7th May 2024.

4 weeks before leaving to travel South East Asia in February, my nearly 18 year old dog, Roxy, decided it was time for her final journey.

It’s been so weird adapting to not having dog interaction in my life while travelling and after meeting a beautiful little dog called Courage in Singapore I couldn’t help but get upset about mine because no matter what age you lose your pet at, no matter how great a life they lived, they are family.

I’ve joined this site as I move to Cairns (to initially stay in hostels and find work) because my recent reflections have encouraged me to think that maybe I could pay tribute to Roxy in caring for your pet(s), home and garden, while you enjoy your much needed get away, as I try and set up a new life here.

I’m a clean and tidy person, having spent 6 years living alone and house proud, a non smoker, love gardening, and chilling in the sun.

Other interests include going to the gym, meeting new people and writing my further research in social psychology,
