Hi!, We are a couple in our mid 40's, we started house-sitting around the Sydney area back in 2013. We were house-sitting occasionally during holiday times and some weekends, then had a break during the pandemic. We started again in 2022 and now we're travelling and housesitting all around Australia full-time.

We 're non-smoking, quiet people. Shayn grew up with lots of dogs - Gordon/Irish/English setters, Irish Wolfhounds. We are also cat lovers, we had 2 of our own cats while we were living in Sydney. We have looked after many dogs and cats of all different sizes during the numerous house sits we've done. We also cared for stick insects, rabbits, chickens and fish. During house-sits we enjoyed people's beautiful homes and kept them that way.

We're travelling with our elderly cat in our Jayco camper. She sleeps most of the day. If you would allow her in the house, we can isolate her to a room or section of the house, if really necessary.

We love house sitting with a passion. The places, the homes, the animals, we love everything about it. We love going to new places to explore, hence our long term travelling now. House sits take us to places where we may not normally go if we were just visiting tourists. It lets us explore places thouroughly for a longer time. We get to experience didfferent house styles/layouts and different breeds or species of animals and wonder what our dream home and dream pet would be in the future when we finally settle down. The animals elevate the whole experience to the top level, we're in an exciting new place and yet we feel right at home with welcoming and loving furry animals. Kristy loves walking dogs as it seems it's a great way to connect with dogs. Their happy eyes looking up at you and asking 'so, where are we going?" would melt anyone's heart. Admiring any cats in sight with all our heart goes without saying as a cat owner.

Since we love house sitting so much, we do our best to meet our end of the bargain. We respect the owners home, keep it tidy and clean. We love the animals who live there and care for them as best as we can.

We have looked after many pets from many different homes. We cared for a Tibetan mastiff, a Greyhound, Cavoodles, Labradoodles, a Bichon Frise, miniature Dachshunds, Jack Russells, a Doberman, Cocker Spaniels, Shih Tzu mix and King Charles Spaniels for dogs. For cats, we were fortunate to care for Bengal, Ragdoll, Maincoon, Russian Blue cats. These are just the ones that we knew the breeds of, there were many more and we also looked after a Dutch dwarf rabbit, chickens, fish and stick insects!. Some pets were old and needed more attention. Some had difficulties going to the toilet due to age. Some owners were vegetarian and asked us to use different kitchen tools for their pets, which we obliged with ease. We walk the dogs everyday, sometimes we take them to a on leash/off leash dog park after consulting with the owner. For cats, we just cuddle and cuddle and some more cuddles as long as they allow us (though we understand that some cats are very independent), and play with them with toys in the house.
