We understand that you want nothing more than to relax whilst away knowing your home and pets are being well cared for. We also understand that leaving your precious things with strangers is huge and we take this responsibility very seriously. We are confident we can give you total peace of mind. Whenever possible we come to meet you and your pets before agreeing a house sit, this ensures we are all on the same page and your pets get to give their opinion as well! If it is not possible to meet prior we can Facetime or Skype to discuss things fully.
We love meeting new people but have zero interest in sticky-beaking into your lives. This means that we don't go rifling about in your cupboards or drawers, we don't crack safes and we have total respect for your privacy. If you have books I would like to look at them and if you have a piano I would love to play it.
Our hobbies include walking, sailing and swimming. At home, Greg loves to follow Sport. I enjoy crafting, reading, and reviewing books - currently reading Amor Towles The Lincoln Highway :)

Our Pet Care: As a rule, we give dogs two good walks a day (with due consideration for the dogs age, needs and health). We vary the outings daily - maybe a dog park with new friends to meet; a dog beach for a swim if they like that, or for the older or quieter souls, one-on-one walks just with us. If your dogs have a routine walk you want continued we will follow that for you as well. Your preferences for your Pet will be given top priority. In the Summer we walk before sun-up and after sundown. We will spend a lot of time with your pet because in our experience it keeps them happy and settled while you are absent. We give the same care and attention to all pets we're asked to look after. We love and care for cats, horses, ponies, goats, rabbits, aviaries, chickens, ducks, tortoises, fish, bees, sheep, alpaca, tree frogs and even stick insects!
Our primary house-sitting area is the Gold Coast and Hinterland. We also have regular re-sits in Sydney - one of which is a Dog Airbnb business. We're happy to travel further when our schedule allows. As well as House sits we've completed Business sits, successfully overseeing a Wholesale Plant Nursery in Queensland, Airbnb's and a Cellar Door in France.

Firstly, get in touch with us. We will always come and meet you and introduce ourselves before accepting the responsibility of caring for your home and animals. We will show you our documentation, additional references and Police check certificates. During this home visit ( or Skype) we try and get as much information about your requirements as possible - this is an informal Q&A session which goes both ways. It's also a good time to meet your pet and understand their routine and preferences.

It was easy to tell how well they had bonded with our dog as he got so excited every time he saw them. Marlene and Greg were absolutely amazing. We would recommend them 100%. They don't just house sit , they really got to know our animals. 2 horses and a little rescue dog. In our case. And all the animals loved them.
Our house was cleaner when we got home than when we left. Even the widows were clean (how could you beat that), Greg also went above and beyond with mowing and removing a fallen tree from our paddock . From start to finish Marlene and Greg were wonderful house sitters. It was our first time using house sitters and we could not have dreamed of anyone better. From the first meet and greet we could tell that Marlene and Greg were well organised, reliable, experienced and most importantly love dogs.

As new time users, we were a little anxious about leaving our home & furry friends in the hands of strangers. Marlene & Greg were fantastic communicators and answered all of our questions thoroughly.
