Hi! We are Martijn and Lynn, two Dutchies traveling around in Australia since October 2022. Our goal is to drive the Big Australia Lap, but since we're not in a hurry, we love to settle down to care for someone's home every once in a while as well.

We understand it can be stressful to let people you have never met before into your home to take care of your pets and your house, so we will always do our utmost to treat your home and pets in the most respectful way possible. We are very clean, tidy people and will care for any home like it was our own. We are very punctual people and will respond to emails, texts and/or calls asap. We are also happy to provide pictures and updates on the well-being of any pets on a regular basis.

If we are unable to meet in person before a house sit, we are more than happy to schedule a Facetime or Zoom video call to make sure everyone is comfortable with one another.

We love taking care of all kinds of animals. Dogs, cats, birds, rhinos: you name it, and we'll treat it like our own! Actually, one of the main reasons for us to visit Australia in the first place is the abundance of wildlife here, we just love it. We like going on long walks and hikes, but we enjoy quiet evenings on the sofa watching Netflix as well.

Even though we are travellers, we are still working: we are doing freelance copywriting jobs for Dutch companies. Isn't the internet great? This means the one thing we do look for in a house to care for, is a stable internet connection and a table or dedicated workspace. Apart from that, we're as flexible as can be!

We don't mind at all to do chores while we are housesitting, like mowing the lawn, watering plants and tidying up after pets (and ourselves :-) ). We like our own house (and car!) clean and tidy and will treat any other person's house in the same, responsible manner. Oh, and we don't smoke :-)

This is the 2nd time we have had Lynn and Marty house sit. Our trip was to the UK. Once again we were very happy with their excellent care of our home, garden and high maintenance dogs. Lynn and Martijn, were absolutely AMAZING !!! The house and animals were cared for perfectly! even the washing was done at the end of the visit and dogs were so so happy. I would recommend them to anyone!

Lynn and Marty were fantastic house sitters. Very easy to communicate with. They kept us updated on Dex, including a beautiful shot of him at the beach, He was living his best life with them.
