Hello!

I'm Marina, and together with my sidekick Lola (in the profile pic) we are hoping to take care of your home, pets and plants while you are away :)

A little bit about us:
Hooman - I'm Italian but been living in Australia for 17 years (I have Australian citizenship).
Sidekick - Lola is my small 13 year old rescue dog. She is very calm, quiet and has a lovely gentle nature. She is dog and cat friendly, having grown up with both.

I'm very tidy and house proud and a huge animal and plant lover, Animals have always been my greatest passion ever since I was a child. If you are looking for someone to take care of your pets, they will be much loved and very well looked after with me.

I have been volunteering for various animal rescues for over 12 years. I used to be the volunteer Adoption Coordinator for Maggie's Rescue in 2015, and the Team Leader at Ruff Sleepers in 2019. Over the course of the years I have fostered countless cats and dogs for various rescue groups, such as the Cat Protection Society, Desert Dogs, Denise at Paws and Maggie's Rescue. My Lola is a so called 'foster fail' = a dog I was supposed to foster but ended up keeping :) She has been pivotal in helping me rehabilitate a lot of the animals I have fostered over the years thanks to her calm and gentle nature.

Lola and I go for two walks a day, before and after work, so if we look after your dog, they will get plenty of exercise.

In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and fixing things around the house - I'm very handy!

Marina was amazing! She took such good care of my dog and home while I was overseas, I was never worried as she kept me constantly updated with photos and texts. It was clear my fur kid was having a wonderful time with her and her beautiful dog, Lola. I am so grateful to Marina and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Marina is a very experienced foster carer of rescue animals so was great with our two puppy farm rescue groodles. She is lovely to deal with and communication was great. We found her very reliable and she took beautiful care of our home leaving it in spotless condition.

Marina (and Lola) cared for our Freddi for two weeks over Summer, I found Marina to be very kind, caring and a great communicator before, during and after the sit. We returned home to a very happy Freddi and a beautiful, clean home, could not have asked for any more, we had complete peace of mind, allowing us to enjoy our break away. I would welcome Marina and Lola to house sit my home and Poodle Pearl anytime. Marina kept me updated with pictures and news of Pearl throughout my 5 week holiday. In addition to her daily walks Pearl had a number of exciting outings and lots of loving attention. It was comforting to know Pearl and my home were being so well cared for while I was away. I returned to a happy dog and spotless house. I highly recommend Marina and Lola as house sitters.

Marina looked after my home and pet; Sunny (a three year old cavoodle) for the whole month of August. I have had house sitters before but never like Marina. She cared for my home and for Sunny like they were her own. I came back to a spotless house even in corners I hadn’t looked at for a while. Marina and Lola recently sat for us and were absolutely wonderful! Marina cared so well for our cats and home, including our scared younger cat who has been more relaxed and engaged since we came home than he was when we left. She sent through regular updates so we could be confident that everyone was ok. We’d have Marina sit for us again in a heartbeat. She and Lola won our cats over so quickly that they’ve kept looking for them, wondering where their new friends have gone.

We were so blessed to have Marina and her dog Lola come back and stay for a month looking after our dog Percy, our home and the thousands of pot plants . Marina made our exit out the front door easy by distracting Percy - regular updates and photos of how Percy was going and Lola was a perfect role model for our puppy dog . We adore Marina and Lola and you would be very fortunate if she can be your house/ pooch sitter !!!

Marina was responsible, respectful, and great to communicate with. She cared for 3 pets in my home for 5 weeks. When I returned the pets were calm, happy, contented and obviously well cared for. I have no reservations in recommending Marina for house and pet sitting.
