We are an active professional couple and started house sitting in mid-2018, while moving interstate. We have looked after many types of property in five different states, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Dogs, cats, chooks, sheep, ducks and fish have all been cared for.

We are both fond of the outdoors, with a keen interest in bushwalking, birdwatching and local history. We are both non-smokers and fully covid-vaccinated.

As Bill and Julie were in the area. we met them several weeks before our departure and immediately felt at ease with them looking after our home and pets. They kept us updated with the health of our cat and sent photos and messages on regular basis which was much appreciated as the cat had health issues. The garden, pets and house were well cared for and Bill even mowed the lawn. We recommend Bill and Julie to other owners and would have them back without hesitation.

Julie and Bill certainly experienced a range of different weather conditions, especially the last week when storms in Melbourne and our area led to a loss of power, mobile reception and internet. Bill expertly hooked up our generator so goods in the fridge and freezer weren't spoilt, and got by with gas cooking, wood fire and candles.

From the outset, they offered to come to the house and meet in person and meet our dogs prior to their stay which was a huge relief for us, as we have never used the housesitting website before.
