Benjamin & Caroline

Hello. My name is Ben. My partner, Caroline, and myself currently reside at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. We recently sold our current property and are again ‘in-between’ homes as we await the completion of our next purchase in SE QLD.

We are experienced house-sitters and are honest and reliable people of good character who will care for your pets and homes as if they were our own.

We are now both retired, but remain fit and healthy in all respects. Caroline was a Registered Nurse for more than four decades, whilst I was a lawyer and Officer in the Royal Australian Navy. It may inform your judgement of my good character that the Governor-General saw fit to award me the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to our country in 2020.

We both grew up surrounded by dogs. Caroline cared for a succession of springer spaniels throughout her childhood and adult life, whilst my family bred golden retrievers. We have placed photos of a smattering of the dogs we have owned or cared for over the years on this site to establish our credentials as ‘dog-lovers’ of all breeds, shapes and sizes. Of course, caring for other kinds of pets does not phase us either!

We welcome the opportunity to meet personally with home and pet owners to ensure mutual confidence that there is a ‘good-fit’ between us, so that owners can be assured that their home and beloved pets are in safe hands.

We are fully COVID-vaccinated and non-smokers.
