50, Creative Producer
I'm a single, responsible 50-year old woman who oversees a long-term arts and community cultural development project based in Roebourne for not for profit social change and arts organisation Big hART. I'm clean, tidy, respectful, great with pets and a non-smoker. I spend my spare time reading, cooking, sewing, knitting, walking and going to the beach. I have housesat on the NSW South Coast (a 5 month sit), Canberra, regional South Australia (Port Lincoln and Streaky Bay) and Adelaide.
Looking after other people's animals is one of my favourite things about housesitting, and I especially love walking dogs and cuddling cats. I have also looked after horses, ducks, chooks, sheep, pigs and cows.
I am also a member of Kiwi House Sitters and recently spent 7 months in New Zealand where I undertook 8 housesits ranging from 5 days to 4 weeks, and have reviews from all of these sits.
Below is a review from an off-the-grid housesit at Streaky Bay in Dec 2022/Jan 2023:
Deb is a brilliant person and house sitter!
With our home being off grid and in dry South Australia, we need to be fussy with who we choose to look after our home, garden and animals. Deb has looked after our home a few times now and is careful not to run the solar batteries down, goes easy on the rainwater and is great with gardens. She also looked after the chooks and pony which both needed daily attention. If any communication was required about the animals or any maintenance issues that cropped up, she was right onto it. She is clean and tidy and always managed to leave our home better than when we left it! Thanks Deb- we would entrust you with our home and animals anytime!!!
