Luke & Sarah

Hello! We're Luke and Sarah, a caring and considerate couple from the UK who are coming to the end of our year away from our jobs back home. We began our travels with a 5-week dog sitting position back in Sept (arranged through Aussie House Sitters) and have been eager to revisit the opportunity to house sit and care for another four-legged friend before we head home for Sarah’s Masters course.

Having both grown up with family dogs, we are well-versed in their day-to-day needs and the unique challenges that different breeds can present. Sarah's childhood pet Ginny, an Irish terrier, required multiple walks a day to stay stimulated and healthy. Meanwhile, my (Luke's) experience with a physically strong but somewhat aloof Staffie taught me the importance of providing calm direction and control during walks and in public spaces where dogs may be off-lead. Additionally, being able to effectively communicate with other dog owners proved to be a valuable skill, helping to put fellow dog walkers at ease.

I’m a keen photographer and Sarah is currently writing and illustrating a children’s picture book so we will likely spend our time in Perth exploring art galleries, days on the beach and evenings winding down before our flight on the 11th July.
