Hello! I am currently travelling in Indonesia and planning to move to Melbourne, Australia around mid-May. I'm looking for opportunities to get settled into the local community while keeping costs low through housesitting.

About me: My name is Irish and pronounced like Roshe-een - my mum is Irish, but I grew up in Brighton, England. I am a bit older than your usual working holiday visa person at 31. I recently decided to shake up my life and go out into the world to try new things after working for 8 years in various human rights and social change NGOs/non-profits. I also write and perform stand up comedy (but I'm not annoying or an offensive 'edge-lord', promise). I love to cook, go to live music, comedy or theatre and I've recently become a bit obsessed with scuba diving (which is probably why I now need to save money).

My experience: I am a huge cat lover, I had 2 cats called Molly and Tilly growing up who I looked after (and they lived until 19 and 20 years old!) I also look after my Mum's cats Bill and Percy when she goes on holiday, and have housesit for some of her friends to look after their cats too. I have less experience with dogs but I love them. I have looked after my cousin's dogs Mollie and Patch (in my photos) for a couple of weekends and I looked after a neighbour's dog Gaia, a German Shepherd/Border Collie cross, every Tuesday for the past 5 months before going travelling.

I am very clean, tidy and respectful of people's belongings, and happy to water plants and do any other maintenance you need to keep your home how you like it. I'm a non-smoker and vegetarian.
