Caring for your pets and house

I have relocated back to South Australia from Tasmania, and am available for house and pet sits in the Adelaide area. I am a clean, tidy, reliable, non-smoking and non-drinking mature-aged female.

I am an experience house and pet sitter, having carried out sits over the past six years in Tasmania, ranging from one week to one month. Since moving back to Adelaide I have carried out sits up to four months. I have experience looking after cats and dogs, both very young animals and also elderly ones requiring vet visits and regular medication. I have also looked after a dog with cancer and others with anxiety.

I was required to have a police check and Working with Children registration while working for the Education Department in Tasmania and have recently renewed them. My previous sits have been through this and another site, and also through private referrals. A number of my sits are repeats. If you are interested in having me sit for you I am happy to provide references.

I am respectful of your home and pets and provide daily texts, photos and updates of your pets so you can monitor their welfare and be assured they are in good hands. Also happy to face-time so you can chat with them if you would like to. I like to treat your pets as you do, and would allow them onto the bed at night, for example, if that is what they are used to. I will be working for three days a week, so they will need to be happy to be left alone on those days.

As well as looking after your pets and home I am happy to water plants and look after fish. You can be confident of finding a clean and tidy house and happy animals on your return.

There aren't possibly enough words to express how incredible Leah truly is. Her communication and professionalism from the beginning to the end were outstanding. Leah provided updates throughout the sit to keep me (anxious dog mum) in the loop, and the photos made me giggle each day! Our home was spotless to return to which was a lovely surprise. Leah did a fantastic job of looking after my house and animals ( cats and fish ). There was very good communication between Leah and myself when ever it was needed. The house was left clean and everything that was spoken about in meetings before the house sit was done. I’m sure my cats were spoilt rotten with attention and affection and they will probably miss Leah now that she has gone. I would highly recommend Leah for anyone that needs a caring house/pet sitter

Leah was just superb! Took time and care to get to know Brock before we left and then keep in constant communication with us while we away! Leah Johnson house and dog say for us from mid July to late September 2023. During this time she communicated with us numerous time a week keep us updated on the dogs and things in general. Towards the end of the stay there was a hot water issue that she handled for us completely which was a blessing.
