Brodie & Steve

Hello, we are Brodie and Steve and thank you for taking the time to read our profile.

We are an active, hardworking, conscientious, trustworthy and practical couple with strong values of going above and beyond to do what is kind and what is right, whilst giving great attention to detail. We believe in always caring for others property and animals as if they are our own, whilst following and respecting owners instructions and requirements. We are non-smokers, and love to be neat, clean and organised.

We are new to this exciting venture of housesitting after lovingly caring for our own home for the past 20 years in Cairns, some photos of our home are included. We are relocating to Western Australia to be closer to our families and their growing needs for support and are very keen to care for properties including pets and small numbers of livestock in the Donnybrook, Boyanup and Capel area.

We both have a natural affinity with animals and though not having our own pets in the last 10 years have often cared for friends and neighbours dogs and cats. We usually sense a a feeling of mutual trust from animals we meet. In fact one cat we cared for, decided she wasn’t going home (next door) and with her owners blessing chose to live with us for some years before she succumbed to old age.

Brodie has a love of gardening and has worked caring for exclusive property gardens in Buchans Point, Cairns. Steve is great trimming, mowing and caring for lawns and grassed areas.

Brodie has been working as a Science technician in education for the past 12 years and Steve has been operating a carpet cleaning and pest control business for the past 18 years. Steve has farm experience from his younger days, working with sheep, wheat and machinery in the
WA wheatbelt before moving to Queensland. He has also worked in the building industry as a bricklayer and paver.

We both have a wealth of varied experience from the many different roles we have worked in, giving us good problem solving abilities and we have always demonstrated a very high standard of work ethic and application of skills. We are always keen to learn new things and add to and develop our skill set. We both have a reputation of leaving things better than we found them whilst being respectful of established arrangements.

We understand it is a big ask to trust someone new to this site but we are completely confident you will not be disappointed in our commitment to caring for your valued and loved property and animals, and in our desire to establish a great relationship with clear and prompt communication at all times.
