Hoi Yung Joyce: 42, Freelance writer

I am a freelance writer in the environmental/ animal welfare field. I used to work full-time at non-profits such as the Jane Goodall Institute for nearly a decade. Helping animals and nature is my lifetime vocation.

Even though I'm quite new to house-sitting, I have done lots of volunteering and work exchanges, some of which included looking after pets/ wild animals. One of my gigs was volunteering as a full-time ranger for a season at Grand Canyon National Park (USA) where I presented critter talks and geo walks. Pay or no pay, I take my work seriously though I think taking care of animals is more of a perk than a chore.

I'm usually based in Hong Kong but currently spending some time in Australia to escape the summer heat. With my writing work, I will stay at home for most of the time and give as much attention to your fur babies as they need. I'm also happy to do cleaning and gardening.

Joyce was an absolutely wonderful , diligent and very friendly Housesitter. She sent us daily photos of our pooch who was clearly being spoilt with many walks & love. We returned to a freshly made bed, clean house & a very happy puppy. I would highly recommend Joyce as a house sitter and would definitely use her again if available.
