I had a twenty-two year career in the Royal Australian Navy, retiring as a Warrant Officer. Then I started a new diplomatic career with the Foreign Affairs department. My wife Renate is a retired school teacher. Since retirement we have been travelling Australia mainly in our caravan with occasional house sitting. This year (2023) we have been house sitting using another housesitting service. We have received a five-star star from each. We have joined Aussie House Sitting to broaden our opportunities.

All of our house sits were pet sits too, mainly dogs both large and small, and of course cats.

One house sit had two dogs and two horses, each day the horse had to have their sun shades (like sunglasses) put on and taken off at night.

Perhaps our most memorable house sit was actually a farm and despite not having farming experience we managed to look after 200 sheep, 17 cattle, 4 chooks and two dogs. We had numerous lambs and calves born during our tenure.

Stewart and Meaghan are friendly, hospitable hosts and the pets, friendly, easy care and gorgeous. Set in a semi-rural beautiful part of Australia, this was another sit that we would happily do again, Renate and Allan
Allan and Renate were wonderful. We met before the house sit which was great to meet us and Beau. Communication before the sit was good, and updates and photos of Beau while were were away was appreciated including a video call for Beaus Birthday. Renate and Allan treated Beau like a king and he was in love with them, They looked after the house and even left us fresh milk and steak and salad for dinner on our return, which was truly appreciated. Allan and Renate took good care of Georgie while we were away. We returned to a clean house and a happy, relaxed cat, just as we had hoped. We're very happy for Allan and Renate to be house sitting for us again in July.

Allan and Renate were easy to communicate with and took fantastic care of our house and pets. They were gentle and caring which allowed our cats to show Allan and Renate their full personalities. We found the place in fantastic condition. Allan and Renate are very experienced house sitters and it showed. They will respond almost immediately to any questions, so be sure to keep in contact if they're house sitting for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed caring for Zorro and Creed. Your home which has beautiful views of the park and lake, is neat and tidy. The location to a major shopping center, complete with doctors, pathology, gym etc. is a real bonus. We are always happy to respond to questions and concerns.
Allan and Renate went above and beyond. The animals were happy and well fed. The house was cleaner than when we left and they also had a hot dinner waiting for us. Beautiful people. I highly recommend them and will definately get them again. Thank you so much.
