I am a retired Head of Physical Education and Sports Studies who taught at a large secondary school before becoming a University Lecturer in the Teaching of Sports. I also Moderated GCSE PE., for a National Exam Board. My partner, Dominic has now also retired so he is ready and waiting to enable me to care for other peoples' polls, gardens and homes.

Clearly, these last few years, covid had put a pause on our adventures but as we are fully vaccinated and healthy, we feel confident enough to venture forth into the wider world and look forward to meeting new clients.

Having 15 years house sitting experience, in many countries has given me the opportunity and resilience to feel confident in taking responsibility for a variety of tasks, leaving every home owner happy with my/our work. I have completed many house sits in WA, returning several times to the same clients, I must be doing things rght if they keep asking me back!

Our children have flown the nest leaving us with not only time to house sit but also the knowledge of how to leave a home clean and tidy.

All house sits will be FREE of charge and we try to be frugal with your energy useage.

Having been a Lecturer I have a FULL CLEAR POLICE CHECK as I worked with students.

We are NON Smokers and both of us have a clean driving license.

At the age of 59 plus, you can rest assured that we will not be having any parties in your home but that we are still fit enough to care for your house, garden and pool . Leaf sweeping and disposal has been our major task for many years now!

What I can bring to the assignment?
Firstly experience. This is my 15th year as a busy sitter. I am active, love the countryside, walking and new experiences. With having my own house, a grown up family and now Grandchildren, I appreciate the work needed to keep a place ticking over. We know that it is important to follow your instructions to the letter and will respect your home.

I have cycled across the UK, completed The Peru Inca Trail and Treked The Great Wall of China for charity.
I am a qualified St John's Ambulance tutor and have my National Rescue Award for Teachers and Coaches of swimming-both of these involve training in CPR.

Should you wish we are able to take phone messages/ act upon them, collect mail, parcels, cut the grass, check the reticulation system, skim the pool of leaves, sweep up and do a spot of gardening.

She was a perfect fit for us and made the experience very positive. Chris was a pleasure to deal with, looked after our home as if it were her own, with everything done to the highest standard. Chris looked after our place, when we made a trip to visit family on the other side of Australia over the summer break.

We found Chris to be enthusiastic, reliable and competent. It was very reassuring to have her there during what is considered to be peak wildfire time, in a high risk area.

Chris looked after our cat and apartment for a long weekend. It was easy to communicate with her prior to arrival and she was very willing to oblige any specific instructions. Chris looked after my house and cats in Darwin for two and half weeks over Christmas 2015/2016. She was wonderful and I would not hesitate to have her mind my home again. She looked after my two cats and was so clean and respectful. she cleaned the house and pool and kept everything in working order. Before she came is made sure that she asked all the right questions and made sure she knew important phone numbers and contacts and asked where emergency items were (it was cyclone season when she house sat for us). Chris was always contactable and wrote back quickly to emails. She drove my car and looked after it well, she made sure petrol was in it when it was returned. I am so glad Chris was able to look after my cats when one of them came down with a serious stomach infection and had to go to the vet while I was away, she took him several times for blood tests and treatments. She continued to ask after him after she has returned home. Chris is highly recommended and I would trust her with any aspect of my home, pets and garden. Please contact me for further reference. Chris (Sit 4 U) house and cat sat for us for 5 days in Oct 2014. We were delighted with the service we received and felt more than confident leaving our house and elderly cat in her care.
Chris visited us a couple of days beforehand to go through everything as this was her first time with us, but in future, this pre-sit visit will not be necessary. She took comprehensive notes to ensure she was familiar with all the workings of the house and our cat's routine and preferences. Chris kept us updated while we were away, so we did not have to worry about anything. I am confident that if an 'emergency' had arisen, Chris would have been able to cope perfectly well. On our return, the house was spotless and the bedding had been laundered.
Overall, we were delighted and plan to use the service again in the future. Now that Chris knows the house and the cat, we look forward to many more worry-free trips away.

Exceptionally professional approach to pet and house sitting. A very detailed list of issues that need to be addressed when sitting is ticked off one by one until sitter and owner are happy they covered all the angles, from pet preferences, hazards and where to find a replacement light bulb. The sitter was extremely sympathetic to our dog and african grey parrot, both animals were in a great physical and mental state when we returned. Communication skills of the sitter are just right, not a daily "pestering" while we were on holidays, however frequent enough up-dates so we did not have any worries. We were told she'd still be out with our dog the time we planned to return and no doubt, our dog come back after a 3 hour walk, gave us a quick hello and lick, had some water and snoozed off! Food and drink was ready for our return and the house very clean and tidy. The sitter had put a vase with some wild flowers out to greet us (she certainly doesn't stick her nose into things;)), The service comes equipped with GPS which gives peace of mind as we agreed that in the eventuality of a pet needing the vet's, she'd take them urgently and to avoid panic, the GPS would guide her there. Particularly important as the sit was in Spain so it would avoid language problems and save time in the event. The sitter is used to dealing with people and pets over decades and it shows in the way she interacts with either. Both mentally and physically more than agile and self-sufficient, we'd recommend the sitter to anyone. We think she managed ours out in the sticks, no mobile phone coverage, no civilisation house and pet sit to great satisfaction. Looking forward to employing her again! Angelika and Mick PS: Can be trusted in a left or right hand car with no problems, we found ours in the same state we left it, including a full tank.

I have kept Koi and Sturgeon for 9 years as well as breeding tropical fish so I am aware of the work required to clean the tanks and filters in order to maintain a healthy environment. Our fish can be left particularly over winter so we can escape to warmer climates. Both myself and my partner have cleaned, skimmed and filtered swimming pools ensuring they are kept topped up and in good condition for your return.
