A British couple who have moved to Australia, to explore our way across your beautiful country!

Hi my name is Oana, and I would love to housesit for you and care for your pets alongside my partner Jonny. My rural upbringing in Romania meant I was always surrounded by animals, and given that my father was a vet, I’ve developed a deep love and interest for not only cats and dogs, but also for chickens, ducks, rabbits and more. Later in life I began collecting house plants, gaining a great understanding in how to nurture their varying needs, consider me having a green thumb!

Hey there my name is Jonny and I grew up in the city of Bradford in northern England. Throughout my childhood we kept rabbits, guinea pigs, goldfish and Barney, our family golden retriever. My true love with pets lies with dogs and cats! I live a very active lifestyle so I would love taking your dog(s) out for long walks. Me and Oana both have plenty of time in our schedules to play with your pets, keep them company every day and fulfil their needs!

At the moment we are completing a 8 week petsit in Port Melbourne, looking after a lovely Golden Retriever and we are planning to stay here in Melbourne for at least another year. We have now completed ten petsits across Queensland & Victoria looking after a whole range of dogs, cats, birds and fish. We fell in love with each of them in their own way... Jonny was fantastic with our two dogs and house. We had great communication before the housesit and whilst we were away. Cairns had an unexpected cyclone/flood during his housesit and Jonny was superb getting our property prepared and safe. It meant we were delayed by 2 days getting home but he was flexible and prepared to stay until we returned. The dogs were well care for and the house was left spotlessly clean. My dog Romeo had the best time with Oana and Jonny. I’m usually a bit anxious leaving my dog with new sitters but as soon as they arrived I felt very relaxed knowing he was in their care. They were very attentive and loving with him - I think he probably prefers them over me! When I came home the place was spotless and Oana waited up until midnight for me to get home so Romeo wasn’t alone. I would HIGHLY recommend these two. Jonny and Oana looked after our two cats and our house whilst we were away for a month. We had regular communication with photos of our cats who fell in love with them both! We came back to happy cats and a very clean house. We have no hesitation in recommending them for a house sit as they are both reliable and responsible and love pets!

People sometimes think fish are easy to care for, just give them food once a day..... ?? If I ever need a house sitter again, I'm going to contact Jonny and Oana to see if they're available. They had my aquarium, working perfectly, managing the whole environment, temperature, pH levels, plant foods, Fish food. Jonny and Oana were amazing!!!! Right from the beginning they formed an instant bond with our little dog🥰 They were both so warm and communicative and took wonderful care of our dog and the house!!!!
