We need a house sitter

Ruvini & Simon

We're hoping to get a house and pet sitter for the end of December and over NY.

The place is a three bedroom house with a queen bed in the master bedroom and a fold out sofa bed (double) in one of the other rooms. There's lots of space, with two desks set up to work from home, a generous lounge room with two couches and a 58" TV and a big kitchen/dining area with an 8-seater dining table. There's wifi and split systems in every room, and one off-street carpark. The place is in St Kilda, a 20 minute walk from the beach, close to shops and cafes and near lots of parks.

The stay involves looking after our 5 year old German Shepherd X, who is a big, loveable dog. He needs 2 walks a day and is great with other dogs - he loves the dog off lead parks/beach. He's fine to stay home alone for a few hours and has a little garden so we leave him outside. He also sleeps in a kennel outside but is very snuggly and will usually hang out inside during the day with you. We'll provide all food and other items for him and details of emergency contacts, vet etc.

We'd prefer someone who can be at home on the first night and would be great if you're around for a while each day (e.g. working from home a few days or just around), but no problems leaving Buddy at home while you're out and about.

Ruvini & Simon were great hosts for our sit. We had an initial phone call and document full of all the information you could possibly need. Buddy is the most wonderful dog, very calm for a larger dog which was surprising! He barely barks and is pretty chill, and loves a cuddle on the couch. We loved bringing him to many of the local parks. The home itself is also incredibly beautiful and we felt very lucky to stay there. Thank you for having us ☺️

Buddy was the most beautiful and loving dog there is. He was honestly a joy to look after, he will be missed. Ruvinni and Simon were very friendly and easy to communicate with. House was clean and and spacious to stay in

We were lucky enough to spend a weekend looking after Buddy. He is a gentle giant and such a sweet boy. Ruvini and Simon we so welcoming and left us a detailed guide on Buddy’s needs, which allowed things to run super smooth! We’d absolutely return to look after Buddy again, and couldn’t recommend this sit enough!!

We took care of Buddy for a few days and had a great time. He was a very obedient dog, he liked to play and go for walks with us. We thank the family for the opportunity to care for him and appreciate all the instructions they left us. We really enjoyed his company and the house was beautiful and very comfortable. thank you so much. Definitely if we have the possibility of traveling to Melbourne again and if you need pet sitters we would love to take care of Buddy again :)

We absolutely loved house sitting for Ruvini, Simon and Buddy. The house is so spacious and located really close to the beach, bars and cafes. Buddy is super friendly and loves cuddles and playing with the ball on walks in the park. He's also incredibly chilled out and is happy to hang out during the day while we worked. Ruvini and Simon were never far away via text although it wasn't needed as everything was communicated in advance and we had zero issues. We would love to house sit again ... MORE
