I am a pet loving responsible single guy exploring Australia by offering Pet Minding and House Sitting services.
I am experienced in training puppies and a reputation for giving the important friends a holiday at home whilst you are off enjoying your adventure. I am also experienced with rescue dogs and understand the idiosyncrasies some of them can be dealing with.
I am experienced in dealing with older dogs, medication, gentle exercise and any special food requirements.
I am very happy to undertake basic maintenance and assure you your home will be in better condition on your return with no worries to intrude on your holiday. I am also an experienced farm sitter and understand the importance of the commercial operation to your way of life.
I generally travel with my best friend, Astro. Astro is a gorgeous, well trained, perfectly socialised Schnoodle. I hope this does not present any concerns when considering my profile.
PLEASE NOTE:
I undertake this work on a semi professional basis,
For my assignments, in order to cover my travel costs I charge $50/night.
For assignments involving more than 2 dogs, or farm animals, or other revives such as remedial training, grooming etc I charge $70/night.
These fees are considerably less than kennel fees and give you the peace of mind your fur babies are safe at home.
Farm Sits are generally negotiated on a case by case basis depending on the work/ complexity etc.
I can assure you the cost will be marginal compared to contract labour and you will be able to relax in the knowledge your property is in safe hands.
Steve was fantastic, it was great to have Astro as company for Winnie. We received updates and the place was immaculate on our return.
Peace of mind when you are away is everything.

I would highly recommend Steve. The dogs were very well cared for and happy, and the house on return was spotless. Steve is an excellent housesitter and great at communicating when needed, plus sending photos of the dogs playing etc.

We are so happy Steve agreed to look after Blitz and Hank, and our house, while we were away! Steve took such wonderful care of our fur kids, taking them to the dog park and on walks, and keeping us updated with all their antics. We were able to relax while away knowing everything was in good hands. We arrived home to a tidy house and very happy, healthy dogs. Thanks so much, Steve! Steve did a great job of caring for our home and high energy labradoodle. Barry is much calmer, jumping a whole lot less and no longer pulling on the leash during walks following four weeks with Steve. The house was clean and well maintained upon our return. We highly recommend Steve.
Steve skilful in managing my Kelpie's state through the days that I was away. It seemed Bobby stayed relaxed, exercised and cooperative in Steve's care. Steve was consistent and assured which made it easier to enjoy my time away.
Steve is an awesome house sitter and his care for our pets was exactly why we wanted him looking after our prescious (and needy) fur babies. We had peace of mind on our holidays knowing our animals were also having a fun holiday with Steve & Astro.

Steve did a wonderful job of looking after our energetic kelpie and spoilt cat. He even undertook 'mouse patrol' as we have had a plague and our old house has many nooks and crannies! He left the cottage in great shape and I hope we can have him back again soon.

We were very grateful Steve was able to help us out and care for our pets while we were on holiday. This was the first time we had required a housesit, and initially we were nervous about the idea. When we first spoke to Steve our impressions were he was genuine, honest and really cared about animals. While we were away we appreciated the photo updates of our furfamily and loved seeing how much fun the dogs were having at the park. We would highly recommend Steve.
Steve and Astro were awesome! We were so happy to have Astro as well to play with our two beautiful pups for the week we were away. He looked after our fish and our home so well and our pups already miss him and Astro. Highly recommend
Steve is an angel and we are so grateful to have met him. Steve has a heart of gold and looked after our elderly and high maintenance 20 year old (!) dog Jack like a silkworm. Our very spoilt toy poodle was treated like a princess and loved the company of the irrepressible Astro. Astro is well socialised and has the loviest nature ... and cheeky John Howard eyebrows.
Nothing was too much trouble with Steve sharing his bed with all manner of cats and dogs.

Steve and Astro were fantastic house sitters. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Steve looked after my horses and also my dog Jameson. Astro was a great companion for Jameson and steve looked after my animals like his own family. Steve also took care of some odd jobs around the home as well which was appreciated. Communication was exceptional and i was kept informed of what was happening at home to entire time. Thank you to Steve and Astro

Steve took great care of our home and his lovely dog Astro was a wonderful companion for our dog, Charlie. Everything was left very neat and tidy and while we were away Steve kept us up to date and always responded quickly.
Steve was an excellent house sitter. He looked after the dogs and pot plants very well. The house we returned to was beautifully cleaned and he was very proactive following up on equipment that failed during his time here. He was very good with his communication giving us updates every week which was reassuring.
We found Steve to be very personable and have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

We came home to a very clean house and our pets were extremely spoilt in our absence, Steve treated our toy poodle like he was his own and for this we were extremely appreciative. Steve was fabulous at keeping in touch with regular txt messages and photos. We highly recommend Steve and hope to have him & Astro house sit for us in the future.
