Your Partner In House Sitting

61, Travel Photographer & Writer

Hello! I'm a semi-retired travel photographer and writer looking for new places to visit while helping you with house sitting.

Having looked after other people's homes, gardens and pets for the past three years (on and off), I'm an experienced house sitter with excellent references that confirm my honestly, reliability and cleanliness.

I'm a keen gardener and while most of my house sits have involved caring only for homes and gardens, some have also included pets such as cats, fish and a python.

While you're away, I'm happy to email you photos of your garden and pets to give you peace of mind so you can better enjoy your well-earned holiday.

Having been a home owner since 1994, I understand all the responsibilities that come with home ownership. I've recently sold my latest home, semi retired and am looking forward to traveling soon in an RV.

My daughter and two sons have families of their own and live in other parts of Queensland.

House sitting now appeals because I believe there are many benefits to be gained from visiting new places and learning about the history, people and culture.

I'm a non-smoker and drink only minimally on social occasions. Detailed house sitting references are available upon request.

All my house sits to date have been via word of mouth, hence there are no online reviews on this site, yet.

If you're looking for an honest, reliable, clean-living house sitter, with a police check, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Reference Example (in part):

"Jocelyn house sat for us when we needed someone to care for the garden, water pot plants, top up the pool and generally keep an eye on things.

"During that time Jocelyn did all of the above and also set up an appropriate watering system to cope with the changes to council watering conditions.

"Also during that time the cyclone came through and some damage was done. She rang us then sent quite a few photos of the damage so that we could report it to the insurance company.

"We found Jocelyn to be a top-class house sitter. Ken and I would be proud to have her back again in the future and have no hesitation to recommend this lovely lady to look after their home."
