Hi!
We are a retired professional couple, very experienced house sitters and specialist horse carers but we also enjoy looking after dogs and cats.
Claire has volunteered in a zoo, looking after Silverback Gorillas amongst others.. She is also a qualified swimming teacher working with children and for many years managed the school's heated indoor swimming pool, so pool maintenance if required is not an issue.
Stephen is very fit and a handy man, well able to manage various household projects and/or garden duties as required.
We have some farm experience and also lived "off the grid" for several years so self suficiency and energy/water awareness is second nature for us.
We love the opportunities that house sitting provides for us to take our time in exploring a region.
As well as those shown on this site, more references are available including some from a 6 month stint in the UK in 2016.
Your pets are of course our priority but we also treat your house as our house whilst we are there and we always take special care to make sure it is clean and tidy for your return.
Finally, we are non-smokers.
We travel without pets (or children) and we would love to hear from you.

Thank you Steven and Claire. I really appreciated how you took care of my horses. They looked very relaxed and happy when I got home.
It made it very easy for me to leave home confident that everything would be fine.
Stephen and Claire were incredible and looked after our puppy and home so well. They kept us updated with outings and adventures they took our puppy on and were super reassuring. Their house sitting was awesome and they left our house unbelievably spotless. They were super accommodating to our flight arrivals and departures and helped the transition immensely.
Stephen and Claire are really cool sociable people definitely pick them for your house sit.
Stephen & Claire took fantastic care of our dogs and house while we were away. They sent us regular updates and were easy to communicate with.

Stephen and Claire were a lucky last-minute find, and what great house-sitters they are! A very nice couple, easy to talk with, willing to take on some extra duties around the garden watering, sending us regular updates - the list goes on ... They'd mowed the lawn and cooked a delicious dinner for our return, so we enjoyed their company for one extra night over a bottle (or two) of wine. They kept us informed at regular intervals how things were going, and that gave us peace of mind.

Stephen and Claire were wonderful house sitters ,felt at home with them straight away ,looked after our house beatifully plus garden and dogs .Came home to casserole ,waiting for us for tea.Lovely couple .
We met Claire and Stephen before they came to look after our dogs and home. They are a lovely couple with lots of interesting stories of their travels. They arrived the day before we left to set up and go through our pets routine.
When we arrived home I found my home and garden absolutely spotless and little special touches of flowers from the garden in the house and what was an overgrown front yard beautiful and cut back( thanks again!).

Claire and Stephen were absolutely first class house sitters and we could not have been happier. The house was pristine when we returned after a month and our horse and cat were extremely well cared for. They went above and beyond expectations, and were completely capable with "off grid" living. We really appreciated their friendly easy going nature and their sense of responsibility and trust. Hope to see you both again and thank you very much for all that you did.
Finding Claire and Stephen was like winning Lotto....they are now firm friends and my entire family adore them due to the fact they included everyone in their life whilst here minding the animals and house...never seen the home looking so clean and tidy..Communication during our holiday was fantastic and although I recommend Claire and Stephen to anyone who needs the best in housesitting, I dont want to miss having them here to care for our place next holiday...thanks guys..so very much....
