There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
70, Retired Handy at many things
62, Retired Secondary Teacher
We are booked until October 9th at Bonnells Bay, Central Coast, NSW, available after that.
We are a retired couple with our 26 year old daughter who has a disability, Naomi, travelling with us. Warwick has retired from doing lots of different jobs and is a great handyman still helping two of our sons in their businesses when we are in Shepparton. Chris is retired from being a Home Economics and Textiles teacher, who is on a carers pension to look after Naomi. Warwick has always been a handyman around the house and vehicles and loves the challenge of repairing/rebuilding things, Chris loves a potter in the garden - one of our regrets when packing everything into storage is all her plants collected over 40 years plus were sold or given away.
We have an English Staffy dog called Turbo who travels with us as a companion dog for Naomi encouraging her to exercise. We have travelled to the Northern Territory in July 5 times in the last 6 years. At the moment we are getting Naomi into the NDIS, once this is finalised she will be living in a supported care accommodation home.
Chris makes clothing and handcrafts to sell at markets from recycled doileys, vintage chenille and loves knitting while travelling. We travel in a Mercedes Sprinter that I have converted from a 15 seater bus to a campervan, we all sleep in it when travelling or Naomi uses a tent when staying in caravan parks to have her own space when we don't have a house sit.
Turbo is happy while being around people and adapts to being around other dogs with us around, we have completed housesits involving 2 terriers, 2 Huskies, 1 Lab, 3 dogs (sausage dogs), 2 horses and 2 cats, 2 dogs and 4 hens and rooster and recently about 50 cattle, 6 horses and 2 dog along with a cat 30 minutes from Shepparton.
We have packed our household into a large storage shed in Shepparton so that we can travel and house sit permanently, Shepparton will always be a stopping point as we have 5 sons living there. The Great Lakes Big 4 caravan park at Tuncurry is a regular resting point. But we are adaptable and will consider any house/pet sits anywhere in Australia.
We return to Shepparton July 25th to September10th and then Bonnells Bay, Central Coast September 12thto October 9th so available from then.
Phone references our possible as most of our housesits have been from word of mouth.
Currently in Alice Springs selling at the Show and Todd Mall Markets staying in a caravan park.
