70, Retired Handy at many things
62, Retired Secondary Teacher
We are a retired couple with our 26 year old daughter who has a disability, Naomi, travelling with us. Warwick has retired from doing lots of different jobs and is a great handyman still helping two of our sons in their businesses when we are in Shepparton. Chris is retired from being a Home Economics and Textiles teacher, who is on a carers pension to look after Naomi. Warwick has always been a handyman around the house and vehicles and loves the challenge of repairing/rebuilding things, Chris loves a potter in the garden - one of our regrets when packing everything into storage is all her plants collected over 40 years plus were sold or given away.
We have an English Staffy dog called Turbo who travels with us as a companion dog for Naomi encouraging her to exercise. We have travelled to the Northern Territory in July 4 times in the last 5 years. At the moment we are getting Naomi into the NDIS, once this is finalised there will be times when Naomi will be in accommodation in Shepparton.
Chris makes clothing and handcrafts to sell at markets from recycled doileys, vintage chenille and loves knitting while travelling. We travel in a Mercedes Sprinter that I have converted from a 15 seater bus to a campervan, we all sleep in it on short stays but when staying longer Naomi uses a tent to have her own space. Turbo is happy while being around people and adapts to being around other dogs with us around, we have completed housesits involving 2 terriers, 2 Huskies, 1 Lab, 3 dogs (sausage dogs), 2 horses and 2 cats, 2 dogs and 4 hens and rooster, We have packed our household into a large storage shed in Shepparton so that we can travel and house sit permanently, Shepparton will always be a stopping point as we have 5 sons living there. The Great Lakes Big 4 caravan park at Tuncurry is a regular resting point. But we are adaptable and will consider any house/pet sits anywhere in Australia.
We recently completed a Shepparton housesit/no pets, this is the 4th time in 12 months for this property and will be there again from mid July until Oct and a return to sit a Lab in Brightwaters, Central Coast May 8th to May 22nd.
We have a farm sit with horses, cows, bull and 3 dogs 30 minutes from Shepparton May 24th to June 12th, Brightwaters again next day until 20th from there to Alice Springs via Coober Pedy leaving Alice Springs 22nd July returning to Shepparton. We will at this sit again until September 10th and then taking up house/pet sit in Bonnells Bay from the next day until October 9th so available from then.
Our sit in Shepparton from then is a no pets and if we leave early all the neighbours watch over the house.
Phone references our possible as most of our housesits have been from word of mouth.
